Thanks for stopping by :-) What should I tell you about me…Well, for starters, I’m a 27 years old Translation student from the Netherlands,​ looking for some friends from all over the world!

Some of my interests include spending time with my friends and boyfriend, having a good meal, drinks and deep conversation​s with the aforemention​ed ;-), reading, listening to music, watching movies, exercising, travelling, being in nature, and of course writing letters :-) I love learning more about different countries and cultures and am interested in learning languages. Also, I like reading about spiritual topics, ranging from mythology and runes to different religions.

I’ve met some good friends on here and feel it’s great how you can develop a friendship through exchanging letters and actually get to know one another. Music, films, reading, spending time with friends, family and my boyfriend, travelling, camping&​outdoors, exercising (at the moment mainly going to the gym and kenpo karate, and sometimes munro climbing), cooking and baking, crafts, languages, learning about different cultures, religions, spirituality​, mythology.

My musical is varied, although I do have a preference for rock. I love certain soundtracks (among others Amélie, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Pirates, Harry Potter – big fan of John Williams, we even have the same birthday :-) and music from the 60s, 70s and 80s. I listen to Guns 'n Roses, Enya, Loreena McKennitt, Phil Collins, Josh Groban, Metallica; it all depends on my mood :-)

Restless Natives, Lord of the Rings, The virgin suicides, White Oleander, The Bourne identity/sup​remacy, Shrek, Sliding doors, Never been kissed, Legally Blonde, Life of Brian, Amelie, 10 things I hate about you, Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, Garden state, Everything is Illuminated,​ and classic dance movies such as Dirty Dancing, Footloose, Grease and Flashdance. However, there are many, many more.

Lost, Grey's Anatomy, Friends, Will&Gra​ce, Sex&the City, The Simpsons, Monty Python, Little Britain, Southpark, Gilmore girls, Top Gear, crime series, Long way round/down: too many ;-)

I read literature (classic and contemporary​, fiction and non-fiction)​, science fiction, fantasy, historical novels; again, pretty much any genre goes. Oh, and children's literature! Some of my favourite authors are Jane Austen, Paulo Coelho, J.K. Rowling (love the Harry Potter series), Tolkien, Roald Dahl, Ian McEwan, Jonathan Sfran Foer, Pearl Abraham and Haruki Murakami, but there are many more!
