About Me:

Hi :)

I usually don't really know what to say, when I need to introduce myself, so rather choose to skip this part :)
There's some info about me below anyway :P

I'm looking for e-mail pals, preferably :))

Requests:

I'm looking for friendship - I'm not looking for relationship or flirting
If you are a person who enjoys talking about different subjects, don't hesitate and send me a message :D

Language Exchange Requests:

Latvian - native
English - since lessions at school; then books, tv, movies (the best stuff usually doesn't get translated to Latvian,so was left with no choice really) :)
Russian - I live in Post-Soviet country, you know
German - since lessons at school; now determined to revive it (am good at languages in general, so hopefully won't be that hard)
Japanese - learned it at school, since then nothing; absolutely love it, especially the writing, still remember bits of it though; would like to refresh it too :)

Interests, Hobbies, etc.:

Books, movies, spending time outdoors, learning languages, cycling, eating out, cars (watch Top Gear, you know), love tennis and soccer (on my tv, lol)

Favorite Music:

Everything that sounds good (to my ears, anyway).
Depends on my mood. However my ears are always ready for  Eros Ramazzotti, Norah Jones, Apvedcels (LV schlager-music-type band)

Favorite Movies:

Well, I have many of these, so just some - 13 days, Bridget Jones's Diary, Memoirs of a Geisha, You've Got Mail,  Departed, the Bourne trilogy, Lord of the Rings, Ice Age (Scrat is just hilarious)
Mini-series - Sense and Sensibility ('08), Wives and Daughters, P&P ('95), North and South (BBC)

Favorite TV Shows:

Love political thrillers, british period dramas and comedies (current favourites - Spooks, The State Within, Waking the dead)
And Sylvester and Tweety cartoons (love that poor cat) :DD

all times favourite - Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister

Favorite Books:

"Three Men in a Boat" - my nr.1 of all times
I could rather name favourite authors - J.Clavell (Noble House - my favourite), D.Morrel, J.Grisham, U.Ecco, J.Herriot
What I read (and watch too) depends on my mood, really - today I might be into some "chick flick", tomorrow - something"serious"
Just finished "Rivals" by Bill Emmott, and absolutely loved it (non-fiction though)
Oh, and Harry Potter books, of course :D

Favorite Quotes:

It's one of those irregular verbs:
I have an independent mind
You are an eccentric
He is round the twist.
                                                               (Bernard Wolley "Yes, Minister")

From what I've seen of the real world, living on a cloud is far more enjoyable.
                                                                               (I have no idea)
