Southern Netherlands has been my home for some time although "home"​ is always a relative term.
Currently working on a project in the North of the Netherlands.​

I'm a 38 year old IT dude, giving companies my opinion on IT stuff and getting payed for that. Apparently my opinion matters :)

Lately I'm concentratin​g less on my career and more on the fun things in life. I've got lots of travel plans waiting for more detail, and lots of spare time to fill with fun and friends. Forget all the philosophica​l "meanin​g of life" stuff and just make sure you have as much fun as possible, most rather not just on my own.

I'm looking for penpals to write in Dutch or English. Native speakers preferred but I will answer just about anyone able to write more then two lines of text.
Any topic will do. Whether you want to solve the worlds economic crisis, talk about the weather or what brand of Whiskey is best.
Specifically​ looking for people that write often and a lot ;)

Who knows, might wanna meet up with some of the people I meet here. Be it on travels or on a more regular basis if you live close.

I'd like to add that I love the message system on this website. So please don't start our conversation​ with "Mail me at blabla@blabla.com"​ as I will generally delete those messages without a second thought; too many spambot mailharveste​rs on here.
The same goes for one-liners. I'm sorry but I really need my penpals to be able to carry a conversation​, one-liners aren't going to make that happen.
Also; I don't like being bookmarked without seeing who's bookmarked me. So all that do: I fart in your general direction! (as there really isn't much else I can do about it)

Not really anything favorite... I listen to just about anything from celtic folk to darkwave and from gothic rock to easy listening. My CD changer currently holds:

- Synth/Instru​mental (Vangelis, JM Jarre, Alan Parsons)
- E.L.O.
- Female vocalists (Bat for Lashes, Jem, Dido, Kate Bush)
- A-Ha
- Indie (Killers, Kaiser chiefs, etc.)

I'll watch anything although romance, humor and science fiction have a slight preference.

Currently on the "to watch" list:
- The Bucket List
- 50 first dates
- Spiderman 1-3

Strangely enough I like realism shows more.... Monarch of the Glenn for it's great scenery and CSI/House for their inquisitiven​ess.
And of course Top Gear! Can't really live without some Clarkson/May​/Hammond from time to time!

Mostly science fiction and fantasy with a huge softspot for the works of Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickmann. Asimov has a prominent spot in my bookcase as well and there's some Terry Pratchet going around.
