About Me:
I'm just your typical (former) university student who happens to be afflicted with a case of global romanticism. I think it may be quite serious. Now, to search the world over for a cure!
To be a bit more specific, I just finished up my undergraduate work in Psychology with a minor in Scandinavian, and am now, um, wandering aimlessly through life. I am a compendium of random, useless pop culture information and I also daydream at an unhealthily high level. I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure...
I'm currently at that special age where I'm forced to transition from carefree youth to what-am-I-going-to-do-with-my-life??!! adulthood. Honestly, I'm not really sure, but I hope somewhere in the world, wherever it may be, that there's a place for me.

Favorite Quotes:
"This is the worst kind of discrimination. The kind against me."- Bender of "Futurama"
"I have not forgotten a thing. To forget means to die. I do not want to die."- Hannah, Amos Oz's "My Michael"
"When the spring cloud clears after heavy rain, it seems to me as if it were weeping so hard that, at the end it simply dies (from excess of grief)."- Ghalib's "The happiness of the drop is to die in the river"
"There are all kinds of silences and each of them means a different thing. There is the silence that comes with morning in a forest, and this is different from the silence of a sleeping city. There is silence after a rainstorm, and before a rainstorm, and these are not the same. There is the silence of emptiness, the silence of fear, the silence of doubt. There is a certain silence that can emanate from a lifeless object as from a chair lately used, or from a piano with old dust upon its keys, or from anything that has answered to the need of a man, for pleasure or for work. This kind of silence can speak. Its voice may be melancholy, but it is not always so; for the chair may have been left by a laughing child or the last notes of the piano may have been raucous and gay. Whatever the mood or the circumstance, the essence of its quality may linger in the silence that follows. It is a soundless echo." - Beryl Markham "West with the Night"
"Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I'll meet you there."- Jelaluddin Rumi
"'I love three things,' I say then. 'I love a dream of love I once had, I love you, and I love this patch of earth.'
'And which do you love best?'
'The dream.'"- Glahn, Knut Hamsun's "Pan"
