Nice!  It's nice to see that there are those who devote themselves to the philosophy of Buddha.  Furthermore, you have studied kung fu for the last few years.  Any particular stance or are you into general kung fu?

Yes, I see what you mean. I'm not even sure if the Mahayana suttas claim to be the words of the Buddha. I became interested in Taoism before I discovered Buddhism, so it is no wonder that I ended up with Chan/Zen. :) I agree whole-heartedly that meditation is the most important aspect of Buddhism, which is another reason why I came to Zen. The devotional and ceremonial aspects are less important and interesting to me. There are many interesting books in the Mahayana literature.. I don't mind that it's not the words of the Buddha. :)

Bueno, sí, la razón por la que me gustan las dos cosas es que tienen aspectos muy parecidos, pero el budismo zen ya es perfecto :)

I prefer the simplicity of Zen over the other approaches, but I don't really make that many distinctions. To me, Buddhism is Buddhism. How about you?

But, it is not easy to read Pali texts. I read Sinhalese only. But I want to learn Palin. I learnt Pali on Dhamma School (Sunday School) in our temple. But, it was not success. It was only for exam. Thosedays I hated Pali but now, I want to learn Pali. I think it is more helpful to me.
Have a nice time...

There are 57 big books of Thripitakaya here. It has Pali and Sinhalese both. I bought one book, Diga Nikaya I. Mainly I searched Majjima Nikaya because I love its suttas so much. But, I couldn't find it. Prices are high. So, I couldn't buy many. I think that I gain one by one. It is more easy to read and understand suttas than someone tells us about suttas. Because, we don't know that did he tell truth or not??? So, I think this is the easy way.
