About Me:

I want to see beautiful things.
I want to have interesting discussions.
I want to argue.
I want to laugh.
I want to be touched.
I want to climb mountains.
I love to make music.
I like to be scared.

:-)

Life for me is about adventure and experiences. I don't want to sit at home and watch people on TV live their lives. I want to get out and live mine!! I get excited and sing and dance when I'm happy. I get fiery and cynical when I'm angry. And sometimes, every now and then, I just sit quietly and watch and listen.

Requests:

I'm a little bit crazy. The world is such a wild and fantastic place, I want to see all of it and meet everybody and live a little bit of every lifestyle. So.... If you want a fun house guest who'll climb up and sit on top of a door if the conversation lags then feel free to invite me over.
Otherwise, well....... bugger off then. :-)

Interests, Hobbies, etc.:

Lots and lots of music, reading and being strange and silly.
I sing, I play instruments, I juggle, I fall over, I climb trees.

I want to be a cabaret singer in Germany. Thats my plan, thats my dream, thats where I'm going. I have lots of instruments and I dream of collecting all sorts of weird and wonderful sound contraptions from all over the world. Make your donations! If it makes a noise and you don't want it anymore then send it to me!
And when I get sick of music and just need some space I love to hike waaaaaaay out into the middle of nowhere and get as far away from cities and modern life as possible.

Favorite Music:

So much.... so much. It's easier to say what I don't like, that list is smaller. Mostly I only dislike really heavy music that has no melody and techno etc that is all made with computers. Computers have made amazing things possible in music land, but I don't think music should be made only by computers. It needs to be made by hands and hearts on real instruments that vibrate and come alive. :-)

Favorite Movies:

I have an odd fascination with French films. Maybe it's cos I'm descended from French musicians? I dunno, suggestions?

Ambitious, beautiful or twisted. Big thumbs up.

Big, boring action movies where lots of stuff gets blown up, the bad guy gets it and the guy gets the girl. Big thumbs down.

Favorite Books:

Some of my favorites--- Khalil Gibran: Masterpieces, Astonishing the Gods, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Faust,

Oh Dorian Gray,
How sad it makes my day,
When I don't hear back you,
It makes me feel so blue.
So if you get a chance write me a letter,
I want to know if you're feeling better!

Damn me indeed! And my limey manners :)

Alright.. Melbourne! What a city, eh? I went into a student-focused travel shop today and picked up some travel information for NZ and Aus. I may just do that working holiday thing in Aus that I've always wanted to.

I can imagine if you grew up around Melbourne area, you would be pretty jaded by it. Australia seems to have a definite acoustic focus - pub bands, unplugged guitars, strumming away. I am surprised you do not have good audio techs there! I have worked quite a bit in the recording industry, have some live sound equipment, and would love to be an audio tech in Melbourne! However.. I think a lot of patience may be required to deal with the flak and day-to-day of live sound work.

Alright. It's cool to hear that you're interested in cabaret and those kind of performances. Brighton has a great music scene, and I know some people there.. so if you're ever in the UK, send me a message and I can tell you who to talk to.

My electronic projects are not really "on the go" at the moment. That said, I've been playing a lot with my microKORG lately (not as kinky as it sounds!). It is a brilliant synthesizer and I'm only just starting to figure out the many options it gives me.

Right.. what music projects are you working on? It'd be great to know.

So you are a sneaky debater.  The kind that can adapt to situation he is in.  Oh, you are dangerous in your craft.  Good for you (not so good for those, who attempt to argue with you). :)

I currently use a point and shoot camera... fully automatic one, where i only change few things while taking pictures.  I do want to get a camera that will force me to think more about the technical aspect of photography than simply experimenting. But, for now i am happy with any camera, as long as it works.  Years ago i made a camera out of a shoebox and that worked too! :)

I like architecture and small parts of things, and graffiti and art and shoes.  Nature too, of course.  I wish i had people who would pose or at least not get mad at me, when i do take their pictures...  What do you like to look at and photograph?

Hot?! It's almost winter here! Any time the snow should be flying. Man... that just boggles my mind! I'm a little sheltered, can ya tell?

Yes you do :) Hmmm.. the first thing that came to mind was Private Peepers, but that sounds, erm, dirty. Then again, that may be the trick because if I heard that, I'd sure want to know what it was!

It's crazy that it's daylight for you right now!

Ummm... why aren't you president?? There really should be such a thing! It's ridiculous how much money people throw away because they don't know what to do with it! I'm sorry, but if you pay $5,000 for shoes you're an idiot. That could feed thousands of people! 10 million is greatly generous, you'd still be sitting very pretty :)

We shall advertising! My specialty :)

Wow Dorian... you're such a creepy stalker :)

Of course I would! I mean, I'd have to come visit Australia first since it's practically my #1 since forever, but then I'm up for some hiking! I wish was rich purely for the reason of sharing it! As far as your plans go.. I like those plans! Just no making fun of my funny talking :)

Great, now I'm going to Google Earth Melbourne... you're promoting stalking.

Here I thought I was all cool using your word... now I'm sad :( Way to basically tell me I'm lame! I was at a lovely little park called Deerfield Park. The coolest part was crossing the rope bridge over the water!

Oh and the fact you posted that on your own wall, makes me so much happier about my decision to be your friend. If I had the money to go to Kilimanjaro, I'd bring you along :) No joke.

I'll let you win next time! Haha. I almost forgot! I went on a "bushwalk" this morning for 5 glorious miles! It made me think of you and Kilimanjaro!
