About Me:
Drew is a gentleman in early retirement, a 6th generation Chicagoan.
He has a very happy family life.
Both city life and country living are important to him.
He loves to learn about people and cultures, plants, art, literature, international and independent cinema, religions, people's experiences and history among the many things in life. Anything that is beautiful catches his attention; and in his experience, most people and things in nature are quite beautiful.
He is familiar with many languages, but does not speak them fluently: Spanish, Latin, Greek, French, Russian, and others.

Favorite Quotes:
"Life is full of pain and suffering, misery and loneliness, and what's even worse, Life is too short." Woody Allen
There are 2 types of people in the world: those who like to fit people into their categories and those who meet each person where he or she is coming from.
The journey is the part of the destination.
If God is source of all, we are all brothers and sisters.
Life is precious. Protect it, enjoy it, and reverence it.
God gave us a world full of wonderful gifts. When we die, God will ask us if we enjoyed these gifts and shared them with others.
Your greatest gift is also your greatest weakness, and vice versa.
Don't sweat the little things; realize that all problems are little things, especially what we think are too big.
When you listen to someone, listen with your whole heart and be open to be converted or changed by what you hear.
What part of "yes" don't you understand.
Things will get worse before they get better.
Half empty or half full?
Over there is not necessarily better than right here.
Mistakes are part of the learning process.
Forgive every injury if you can, but learn from it and never forget.
Love is not quantifiable- it is infinite, but humans are finite creatures with infinite longings and limited abilities.
All roads, or at least most of them, lead to the same destination- no matter how many different directions are followed and how many different obstacles are encountered.
Do unto others as you would want done to/for you.
