About Me:

Don't you just hate these things? I say all the time that it is easier to learn more through dialogue than it is by self description. Nevertheess, I understand that expressing interest or returning my requests for conversation without some idea of who I am may be a bit unreasonable. I am happily married....but sometimes happily bored....looking for friends only to share experiences, and  if you happen to be from outside the US, to teach me some new things about other parts of the world. I really am simply curious about anyone who would want to start a conversation.

Requests:

I  would welcome anyone over 21 to speak with. I find however that there is usually more content and the chance for longer term friendships in people closer to my age. But anyone is welcome to contact me.

Interests, Hobbies, etc.:

I like sports. I run and I play a lot of tennis. If you want a good fielding, bad hitting guy for your softball or baseball game I'm your guy too. I have an avid interest in history...particularly the Revolutionary to Civil War period in the US, and the Kings and Queens of England...but not limited to that. Saved the biggest passion for last....PENN STATE FOOTBALL!!!

Favorite Music:

I have rather an eclectic appreciation for music. I can appreciate the best in most types.

Favorite Movies:

Too many to mention. Let me just say that I like most everything but Westerns, and I prefer the comedies, old and new. That's because I want to go to the movies to laugh more than to cry or be sent a message.

Favorite TV Shows:

Don't watch a lot anymore. I do enjoy "The Office" and "24" (when it's on). That's a big difference in genre, but an idea of what interests me.

Favorite Books:

Anything by Tom Clancy, Dean Koontz, or Dr. Seuss.

Favorite Quotes:

"A Recession is when your neighbor loses his job. A Depression is when you lose your job. A Recovery is when Obama loses his job!!" - this week's favorite t-shirt

"One Big Awful Mistake America !!!"

"I don't read news journals...it is better to be uninformed than misinformed" - Thomas Jefferson

"Your lack of planning does not constitute an emergency for me" -Unknown

"I love mankind; it's people I can't stand."  -Charles  Schulz
