About Me:

Well, I am disagreeable, don't like spam in any form the edible or not edible.

In addition to that rude, argumentative, grumpy, unfriendly, have no sense of humour and this is on my very best days.
Some people like it and others don't, but that's life.

If you are able to accept these aspects of my personality, that's cool.

At the moment, based in Australia. As for the photo you will get a 50 percent chance of getting it right.

Requests:

I don't want to get married at all and I am interesting in emailing people between the ages of 20- 40 from Europe, South America or Australia preferably, but anywhere is fine, as long as you can laugh at yourself and don't take things too seriously.

As for requests apart from human and breathing. No, I can't give  any money or get into business with random people because it's hard to give away something I don't have.

Please don't add me as a friend, after one message or wall comment, at least attempt to flatter me a bit.

Interests, Hobbies, etc.:

Travelling, football (yes the one played with the feet), hiking, watching and playing most sports, having intelligent conversations about differing subjects, reading and improving the amount of useless information I can hold.

Brugge is okay - nothing too exciting going on here. I was in Brussels over the weekend, to see my brother's new flat (which is nice). I envy anyone who has free time AND money. Well, especially the former is enviable to me. This school here tries to kill you - it's basically boot camp or Battle Royal. I had a group debate last week, people were so aggressive and stupid. The whole point of academic debates is too be polite while showing that you're right. They kind of forget the first part. I always get so angry when such things happen, especially when I am in charge of concluding our group's debate.

Anyway. A Moz-parody site? Wow, some people really do hate him. I am off to see him next week. I am - of course - very excited. It feels so weird at this point, because I in this academic cocoon at the moment. 'Morrissey must die' - what an awful thing to say. I mean, disliking him is acceptable and maybe even understandable... but that is a bit too much.

To 'close' our discussion about the CFP - of course you must protect the fish stock in seas. I find that perfectly logical. And not just because I am a vegan. Business needs to stop when nature is endangered. That's my take on it. But yes, some fishermen might not be able to survive etc., but the whole point of economics is to have only the most competing businesses in a market while the others need to re-orientate themselves in markets they can control themselves. And no, I am no neo-liberal freak, just saying what theory tells you... but you being Norwegian makes everything look different of course. What do you think of the CAP then?

Don't get me started on the Nobel peace prize... just ridiculous.

Tjoho

I have arrived in Bruges this week and everything is still a bit chaotic here. I am sure you would 'enjoy' the EU atmosphere here. My classes would definitely delight the eurosceptic in you. ;)

Who 'sings' these Moz parodies then? I will have some massive planning issues with the autumn gigs and my time table here. I am not allowed to miss one single class you see. And the major problem is that they give you your time table only a week before. So planning is obsolete. Quite annoying.

I didn't know this detail about the reason behind the referendum. And I do know how much shipping means to Iceland - I guess it is, next to tourism, their only industry, right? I don't know which factor is going to outweigh the other. Both sides have strong arguments and maybe we underestimate the impact of the financial crisis on the country and the people. But one can only guess.

I am on the verge of moving - tomorrow actually. I think I have everything packed, but I really would not bet on it. I didn't feel like it at all.

A joke Moz track? By what band? And what exactly is it about? I am curious. Although, of course, I don't laugh at him... ever.

Yes, but the Nazis did the same with the swastika. Those signs are always unfairly abused. Some are actually pretty or have nice meanings before they get associated with right-wing imagery.

Do you really think that Iceland won't join in the end? Maybe you're biased, being Norwegian? I know that Norway pulled out in the final stages but maybe Icelanders now feel like they want more 'stability'? Who knows. Except for the CFP there are plenty of advantages. So it is a matter of balancing out the pro and cons - I do think that, in the end, the shock of the financial crisis will drive Icelanders towards the EU. It is just a feeling. Just as the Irish will vote 'yes' for the upcoming 2nd referendum on the Lisbon treaty. In crisis, the EU is always acceptable. And Ireland is in a steep and ugly recession.

Moi!

How is life?

Things are fine here. I have been very busy in work and with hobbies. I started to sing in this choir that is quite demanding compared to one I used to sing in. At work there is a lot going on at the moment. Last week it felt like I came home only to sleep.. :) That is why I haven´t been very active here at Interpals lately.

Which Finnish movies have you been watching?

I just listened to Travis´s cover of Lovely Rita. It sounded nice :). I haven´t been listening to Travis for a while. I really hope that they make their way to Finland one day.. I would definitely be watching them.

The weather is great here. I enjoy autumn very much. I love the colours and this nice coldish air. And the nightsky.. *sigh* :)
