Mi chiedevo come mai persone così simili possano farsi danni gravi, e persone apparentemen​te lontanissime​, migliorarsi in modo così spettacolare;​ mi chiedevo se c'era una regola dietro tutto questo o solo il caso, se era un effetto permanente o temporaneo.
Mi è sempre sembrato che ci sia una parte di slealtà nella nostalgia, come quando dopo che è successo qualcosa, qualcuno dice "te l'avevo detto" o "lo sapevo"​, e non è mai vero e non aveva detto e non sapeva niente prima che succedesse.
