The most. Hmmm typical kiwi I'd say one of the most beautiful places to visit.

From what I have seen New Zealand is incredibly beautiful. I live in California which has its share of beauty. In my younger days I did a lot of backpacking. There is a place that is one of my favorite called desolation wilderness. I think my attraction to it has a lot to do with once you are a few days in you just don't see another person other than those you are with. That kind of solitude wrinkles my brain. :) It is also nice as without all the ambient light one can actually see the stars!
Alas I haven't done much backpacking for a while. I'm a bit out of shape but am working on correcting that now. I really want to get back out there. I miss it so much. Well, if any of this or my profile piques you interest please drop me a message. Take care.

You are quite right - there has to be something better that the crap on television. Having never been to New Zealand I can't comment on it being the most beautiful country in the world - I am quite partial to Canada myself. I would be happy to discuss the merits of each country :-)
