About Me:

I'm turning 18 soon, and have practically lived in the same place all my life. Enjoy playing some Nintendo. Usually up at night playing Pokemon Gold on my SP or reading.
I have a bearded dragon, he's 2 1/2 years old and a 10 week old English Springer Spaniel.

I can't drive, I just got a job at a mini mart/deli and I don't draw as much as I should.

I'd like to one day also trace my roots as far back as I can.

I've just started to really learn russian (I've known numbers and months, etc for awhile now)and get some basic conversational phrases down. I really love the language!

Requests:

I'd like to meet and get to know some any people who share my interests or just want to chat online.
I'm mainly looking to get snailmail penpals to really get to know people.

Don't care about religion, race, or any of that.

Language Exchange Requests:

I'm know basic Russian/German phrases and haven't begun learning the other languages yet, but I would love to talk to anyone who could help me get started.
I could also help with English, though I don't know how good of a teacher I am! :D

Interests, Hobbies, etc.:

I love music. I'm a big literature fan, and I like movies, dogs/ practically all other animals, baking, drawing, macrame, cycling, taking walks, my gameboy, etc.

Oh I remember Toonami, they just took that off air for good 2 Sat. ago....sad, there were still some good shows on there. Wait, Togepi left? O.O I didn't know that, must've stopped watching before that episode...I only watched up to the beginning of Hoen (sp??).

Oh, thats cool, I had  a few cards in japanese but the rest(that is the millions that I and my brother have) are in english. Can't remember the last time I was at a flea market though, since you mentioned it.....oh and maybe we can play together someday, though I would definitely beat you with my fire and grass deck. They sound weak, but you have no idea! (BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!)

And yeah it is an odd name(I would think pokemon too if I were you), small town so guess they didn't second guess when naming it. Our town mayor just got arrested for DUI recently, so maybe that explains it....oh and I'll look forward to a very pretty letter. I can't draw, period. But I'll try, so expect an ugly letter with random, messed up drawings and very sloppy hand writing..... :_:
Oh I keep myself entertained with videogames mostly, so 500,000 letters would probably overwhelm me....

Yeah, me too, I'm going to take a course next year(hopefully) in September. I usually watch all my anime in subtitles.....pick up a few words here and there that characters tend to repeat a lot...

Heh, Oliva's ok I suppose. I don't know how many episodes there were where she(or Elliott)snapped on someone.

Ah and you watch most of the older anime, I seen DBZ, most of Miyazaki's movies and some of Tenchi and Sailor Moon. Oh and I remember the old sonic cartoon, that was best(I can still remember the theme song). And I'm the same, Misty fan and I didn't like it when they changed voice actors. For me, it kinda screwed everything up hearing Ash sound like one person and then a completely different person in the next episode.

Oh and glad to see someone still collecting pokemon cards. I still play with my friends every once in a while, even though we're 18 and in college :P. My younger brother mostly collects them, along with Yugioh cards, though I sometimes get new ones. I heard the Jap. version was better to, which is why I'm planning on watching it eventually.

Yeah, I'd say around that time...not too far off and I've been up in that area several times for various things. I've never done snail mail before, so you might want to start it off, so I see how it works(although I guess its not that hard). I'll message you with my address, so I don't get 500,000 letters in the mail...heh.....

Wow for being umm little younger than me, I am impressed with your taste in music as well. It's been a white since ive heard some sigur ros/talking heads as well haha. To me de-loused is not so short, its like 12 pages, but size 6 font, and the language is like 1/3 spanish, 1/3 english, and the rest just some made up interlocking compounds, a good read none the less. You can find it on the net as well if you can get .pdf files.

Yeah I love SVU and CI, though I only watch the original CI episodes, teh news ones with th newbies don't catch my interest as much. Oh and thanks, as you saw I still have a ways to go, do you have a MAL profile? I haven't heard of Betterman, but I looked it up and its looks interesting....

Oh and those are some awesome cupcakes, I want one....I use to watch pokemon as a kid, when it first came on. Never saw the Japanese version(not yet at least), so I'm just re-watching the english version.

Oh and most certainly, would love to be snail pen pals with you. To be honest, i didn't know what a snail PP was until you commented and so I looked it up(was glad to find out it had nothing to do with snails, ick). And you're from Maryland, foreign enough....it probably would take me about an 1-2 hours to travel down there given where you live in the state. I live in south PA, just on the border of Delaware. And hey the mail will get to us faster.... :)

Farenheit 451 is the greatest "anti-utopia" I've ever read, though I was really horrified after having read it, because the things around all of a sudden turned so alike to what is depicted in this book: those huge screens, the youngs being so disinterested in anything besides sports and having a great deal of fun and so on - you know pretty well what I'm talking about, I suppose. There's a marvellous novel by Strugatsky Brothers, russian writers, titled "the final circle of paradise" (Хищные вещи века in russian, has nothing to do with its english title), that has much in common with "Farenheit...", but only at a first glance, but it's really exciting. So my strong recommendation is that you read it when occassion offers, it's really worth it.

"Catcher in the rye" is wonderful, I suppose a kind of "ROFL"-books,at least I laughed myself sick. But I presume it's become so renowned only for Mark Chapman's being so obsessed with Holden Colfield when he turned set on shooting John Lennon.

As of Bradbury's works, I can recommend you to take note of "Green Shadows, White Whale", about his trip to Ireland. It's the collection of rather short tales about his tramping across this rainy island. I really like it
