I try to write poetry, but most of it is quite bad. I do enjoy writing Haiku, though. At least if it's bad, it's short. :)

Opera​ is an art form I'm new to, and have been enjoying. There are so many based on Shakespeare and ancient mythology that I've started with those. I've found Verdi's Otello​ and Mozart's Die Zauberflöte​ to be my favorites thus far.

That's just a sampling. Romantic love stories, tragedies and killer robots from the future. Me in a nutshell.

Wow..since joining this site, I have little time for the television, but I have enjoyed and still do these shows....

As you can see, I'm not a huge fan of realism in my reading. I like spectacular beauty and dreadful tragedies. Epic poetry and mythology. My life is enough gritty realism for me. 

I don't read a whole lot of modern fiction, but I love John Irving and am a sucker for a romantic time travel story.
