i live in germany but i´m not german and want to email only in english.   i´m 51, charting new territories,​ enjoying life.  beside my husband, nature is my biggest love.  i adore the seasons and watching every small critter on the planet.   not political, not religious, not interested in changing anyone into a repeat of myself...so please do not try to do that to me.  i listen almost constantly to audio books right now, walk as much as i can by the river in every kind of weather.

since i write genuine emails to one person at a time i would prefer NOT to receive emails that have been cut and pasted from emails to other people.  no matter how careful you are, it always shows.

i am really looking for women who like deep conversation​, who can maintain this deep conversation​ even if the email comes once a week,  who enjoy the deep things of life and the exploration of the self.  i would like to develop some lasting friendships based on mutual trust.

drinking coffee in cafés, watching people, walking, the river by my house, standing on bridges, staring into the sky or trees or the water, listening to audio books, cooking, researching life, discovering new neighborhood​s and sidewalks.  art and art history.  mythology, psychology, world history.   i´m a huge fan of natural history---co​ntemplating fossils, trees, the sky or a cloud, is a good way to spend ones life i think.

all kinds, i´m very affected by music.  at this point in my life, mostly classical.  we live in an amazing world !  imagine a hundred years ago people had to go to a concert hall to hear something new.  i´m very fond of german classical songs, schubert, schumann, i love dvorak, father bach, debussey, faure.  i love ivor novello.  basically i´m a sentimental wreck when it comes to music and listen again to anything that makes me feel alive.

i rarely watch movies anymore, but these are the ones i have on my netbook...se​cret garden, grumpy old men, dead poets society, hearts in atlantis.  i want to be either enchanted or amused.  i hate violence and porn in all its forms.

to tell the truth i haven´t watched television in years.  life is short enough without the box sucking it up.

balzac, henry james, zola, brontes, george eliot, hardy, charles dickens, tolstoy.  most modern literary fiction leaves me wondering what happened.  i like a story with a deep, involved plot and a lot of gorgeous words.
