About Me:
5'7" tall, fairly active female, spiritual but not religious, fish-etarian. I use to live in Northern Colorado (can't change the address as it is "confirmed")- BUT, I've finished with my job, spent some time in Arizona with my sister, visitied a friend in California and now I am England.
I have done a bit of traveling around the UK and am using it as a base for trips to Europe (been to Denmark, going to Budapest/Vienna/Prague next and Rome/elsewhere in Italy? in November). Likely I will also go even further in my travels (Asia, Australia, etc)

Requests:
I'd love an idea of where to visit - if you have something special in your home town or something you've seen on your travels I would love to hear about it! Also, I have to admit, that I think it would be nice to know at least one person in an area so when I visit perhaps I already have a friend there who might like to meet for coffee!
But I'd also just love to get to know people from all over the planet. However, I think conversation will be easiest if you are close to my age - so unless you have a specific question or comment, I am really not interested in messages from people young enough to be my children - no offense, but I think you would enjoy talking to someone in your own generation more.
PLEASE WAIT TO ADD ME AS A FRIEND until after we have exchanged message (otherwise, I will decline the request)
If I visit your profile and haven't sent a message or made a comment it may only be that I am waiting until I can come up with something interesting and clever! (often I am browsing on this system when my mind is somewhere else - especially of late due to dramatic change that is about to occur in my life).

Interests, Hobbies, etc.:
I love scuba diving, swimming, travel, reading, music, dancing, cycling. Locally I have been active with the Renaissance Festival (though this primarily involves dress up like a pirate/wench and spending the day with friends at a festival). I recently obtained my motorcycle license (though I did injure myself dropping the bike in the process!).
Favorite Music:
I listen to just about anything - but I shy away from country and hip-hop. I like classical, 80s, oldies, latin, and many other types of music but prefer goth/industrial for dancing.
Favorite Movies:
A Room with A View, Pan's Labyrinth, The 13th Warrior, The Parent Trap, old films - including Fred Astaire & Ginger Rodger, etc, etc!
Favorite TV Shows:
CSI and other crime related dramas and several science-fiction programmes (BSG, Stargate etc). Though I watch far less than I use to now that I've been months without a television and watch only streaming video online.
Favorite Books:
"Eat, Pray, Love", any science-fiction/fantasy. Actually - put a book near me and I'll read it!
Favorite Quotes:
"You only get one ticket in life, so you might as well go on all the rides"
"Sure, why not?" Ayman (my tour guide in Egypt) - this is something he said a few times and I think it is great advice!
"And now for something completely different" - Monty Python
One of my favourite movie quotes (from BLADE RUNNER): "I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the darkness at Tan Hauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain. Time to die."

The reason why I came across your profile is the fact that when I saw your pic..it doesnt match your age. Are you really 40?! Wow, you look so younger than your age :D
Anyway, you seem such a nice person..
Can I get to know you and be friends?
Only if you feel like talkin to a guy my age...
