About Me:
Uhm… what can I say… I am me. Nothing more, nothing less.
I’m American but I live in the Netherlands now. I’m 30 but I am by no means old. I refuse to grow up, I have Peter Pan syndrome! I may be more responsible but I will still play and be silly or stupid and just have fun.
I am currently trying to write my first book. X_x I'm drowning in text some days but it's really a wonderful journey and learning experience. Maybe someday I will see it finished! I hope so! Writing is a big passion in my life and my head is crammed with ideas. I have a whole fantasy world in my head and on paper. I'm always working on some part of it.
I love to talk with people. I like getting to know the real person. What they think, why they think it, even if we don’t agree. I think diversity in opinions and interests in a good thing; so talking about anything from the weather, to current issues, opinions, thoughts, feelings. It’s all okay with me so long as you are respectful that I won’t always agree. And of course I will do the same!
I'm happy to chat here on InterPals or via MSN, Yahoo or Skype. Sometimes snail mail is nice too. I'm easy going about all of that.
Remember variety is the spice of life!

Requests:
I am looking for friends from all over the world. I don’t care if you are female or male. I don’t care about your age. Friendship knows no age, so feel free to leave me a message.
I am not really looking for anything specific. Just people that are nice to talk with and that want to stick around a long time. Friendship only though… I have my knight in shining armor already.
And please don’t worry about your English. I don’t mind if you are learning. I don’t mind helping you either!
I would love to learn more Japanese or Chinese, maybe some Korean too. These are the next three languages I want to learn.

hi! Sorry for the delay. Interpals wasn't available most of the time. But now it works :) I'm really happy about that :)
How was your day? Do you also have a national holiday today? We had a national holiday today and my boyfriend and I went to the Lake Constance. It was great and quite hot :)

Hi, Megan. How are you today?
Oh, I feel pity for your hands. XDXDXD
Then you've helped your friend? you are such a good lady~:) I don't do that. haha. because I'm a sort of trouble maker. When my friend change his flat, he asked me help him. At that time I answered to him. "Are you really need my help?". Then he thought for a moment, and he answered to me "you should take a rest at your home" haha.
Wow, did you have an apple pie? It sounds fantastic! I like it very much! XDXDXDXD.
Ok, I know about the degree. Teachers must have over one licence. It's very compicate thing, I think too.
Oooooooooooooooooooooooh! I'm finding out a flight ticket to go to the Nethelands. Please wait!!!! XDXDXDXD
Ah, I went to an inlet near by my homecity and ate shellfishes BBQ this afternoon with my parents. It was very crowded because today is last day of consecutive holidays. so when we got there, we couldn't find parking place and turned round and round for find it. Finally, we could find it. So we could knock about there. It was fun for me, even we paid such a expensive parking fare.
Did you have a sort of shellfishes BBQ? It's very yummy. But I've never had a BBQ party in Korea. If you came here, we could have a shellfishes BBQ party!! XDXDXD
Wow, did your grandma have a old dress and old documents or letters? wow, that's so great! Have you ever worn the dress? Oh, I think it's such a gorgeous dress. My dad has a book about my family tree (It called "Jokbo" in Korea). It's a very old book. It was writed by Chinese characters (Because Korean alphabet were made by King Sejong in about 1444) , so I couldn't make out all the characters. XDXDXD
Take care!!!!!
Sincerely yours, Gina.

Ahaha.... :-)
I am enjoying too to be teased :-)
you do not have to appologize to me at all.
I go in the way, in Roma do what Romans do.
Even if I cannot give a kiss to a woman in public place, I have no idea to blame other people around that are twisting their arms around others and kissing so hardly even in public transportation.
I just try to avoid seeing them, or think "Wow they are so energetic and emotional like in the movie..." Actually we can never see such the scenes except in the movie.
To my boss I was asked to use "du" instead of "Sie" in German, it took me about three months to switch it to my boss.
Still sometimes a very strange feeling would come up to my mind, how can I say, a sort of a discord. And I do not think that I can never have this also in the future.
As I told you, to make a mistake means he/she knows basically.
Many foreigners living in Japan would take such Japanese "rules" really annoying or even stupid, they do not even try to learn Japanese and gather in a bar where many foreigners would come and just complain or make fool of what Japanese would do.
To make a slight mistake is far more advanced manner as a generous human that would try to accept manners of other planet :-) I have seen foreigners of both sides in Japan, Tokyo and in Hiroshima, and of course I would pay respect to the one who even speaks worse Japanese but knows what we are doing.
Megan, I know you are very open and generous.
Conservativeness would sometimes cause a narrow view and much worse it causes ignorance. There are very many people also in Europe that are not like you, actually I experienced many bad behaviours of Europeans toward me. I just do not care, I would take it that just a part of people would do that and do not want to generalize that "European are.....".
I really wish that some European understand or even feel some sympathy to my opinion.

Nichevo nichevo; nothing to thank me in Russian ;-)
I think it is also one of the reasons that Japanese need their completely private area to feel easy. At least people would try to do their best in their public, they can be totally faul in their private.
It is just my personal opinion, this is why the Japanese think in group or total oriented way first and then private to keep their face as a appropriate people in the society, sometimes it causes overload but when it goes well in total, the part should not be very bad, maybe. Maybe this idea has been changed slowly but surely be back, this is the core of the idea how people can live together without conflict or problem, 70% OK should be OK in general and people should be satisfied with it, not just wanting more and more.
Well I am a man of old type. :-)

To keep watching the situation or atmosphare is not very easy.
This is also the reason that Japanese cannot just insist their ideas to others. Sometimes we have to swallow our words once about to came out of our mouths.
But such the behaviour would cause lots of misunderstanding in the world. Even Japanese politicians cannot change their behaviour toward foreigners to transmit their opinions or minds correctly.

Zes exactly but only if you were Japanese.
If we are speaking in English, of course their is no such differences.
BUT if you master Japanese perfectly, you are expected to speak with me in the way you already mentioned.
If you are able to do so, everybody would treat you as a Japanese for sure, even with your brond hairs and blue eyes (for example)
Is everything clear?
