About Me:

Reinventing myself. Found my profile boring, therefore I decided to undergo a major makeover.

I am quite complicated to describe - if people don't understand who I am, they aren't alone, as I sometimes even confuse myself.

I'm a naturally sweet person, who loves to give people bear hugs. I also have the bad habit of biting people when I like them (out of cariño - fondness/affection, or in local Filipino terms: GIGIL)

I come off as aloof and snobby but once people take the time to get past the initial stages or aren't superficial, they end up seeing the chatty-crazy girl that I am.

My hair and I have been in constant battle. We are on different playing fields. I dream of commercial model hair, long straight and silky, but the reality is my hair is wavy. But since, I have decided to become a better me - I have embraced my waves and curls. A step into becoming a happier person I should be.

I am 'addicted' to the smell of household commercial cleaners such as Clorox and Lysol because they smell so fresh and clean.

I judge books by their covers - including the spine and the title. Sometimes, I buy books solely based on how artsy and interesting the book cover design/layout is. My judgement has usually ended up positively. I always feel the need to finish a book, even if it does start of a bit boring as I believe that each piece of literature has its merits.

My heart goes out to poor street kitties. I usually end up taking them home and caring for them. When they are really young, I even bottle feed them.

I hate clowns and kermit the frog.

Back in the 2nd grade I ate my math notebook/or was it science? (not the whole thing though!)

I am a polar bear living in a tropical country

You will frequently see me wearing mix-matched earrings, Converse Chuck Taylors, and a very colorful outfit. You'll definitely taste the rainbow when you see me.

Requests:

Happy, interesting, real, and passionate people. =)

Travel buddies. Folks who love to immerse themselves in learning. People who will inspire me to become a better & happier person more and more each day.

Girls and Boys ranging from 18 to 30. Can be younger, but not so much older though, as we probably wouldn't relate much (Read: Generation Gap. Yeah); Older females for communication is acceptable, but older guys who are about more than twice my age, just give me the creeps. Always exceptions though, so just message (be nice and decent) - I almost always reply and act genuinely friendly. ;)

... and someone who will show me that love is worth the wait. HAHA :))

Language Exchange Requests:

I'm fluent in English and Tagalog/Filipino. I know a bit of Spanish, but would love to master the Spanish language.

Interests, Hobbies, etc.:

Artsy-fartsy stuff, Net surfing, Reading, Sleeping, Being crazy at the most random moments, Researching, Dreaming, Being sarcastic and witty, Irritating people by simply being me.

I like Lomography.

Favorite Music:

* Everyone is more than welcome to share songs with me. ;) So post your favorite tracks, or new music discoveries, once in a while - or when you do get to drop by my profile & wall -- Thanks! *

NEW: The Script (Ireland) :) , Scouting For Girls and Amy Pearson.
Get Cape Wear Cape Fly (Mark's influence)

Sweet Melodies. Anything pleasant to the ears.

Not much into heavy metal or rap.

I usually listen to music under the Pop, RnB, and Acoustic genre.
Music from the 50s, 60s and 70s :)

Favorite Movies:

Nothing gross, morbid, scary and too complicated. I watch to laugh.

I always end up crying after watching Land Before Time (1st one), it has been a favorite 'movie' along with the 1st Fern Gully movie. Yes, I am still a child at <3

Favorite TV Shows:

Haven't been watching tv these days - Except for : Television Española, Biography & History Channel, Oprah, Martha Stewart's Show, Rachel Ray, Ellen Degeneres and Are You Smarter than a 5th grader. I can't stand being glued to the boob tube for long periods of time. :P

MacGyver will always be my favorite show! Richard Dean Anderson was my first 'love'. His poster is still safely rolled up in my room despite water streaks and yellow stains, its a good thing I kept a photograph of the poster. :D

Favorite Books:

I am a book anaconda. I devour books with great enthusiasm. Authors vary as I like to sample a variety of literary styles. Just do not make me read romance novels or those under the chick flick label (I'd rather watch Chick flicks, than read them)

I'm crazy about children's lit. Dr. Seuss and Roal Dahl is LOVE.

Current favorite authors: Jodi Picoult, Nicholas Sparks, Markus Zusak, Mark Haddon, Neil Gaiman, Paulo Coelho, Cornelia Funke and Eve Ensler.

Books I absolutely love: Vagina Monologues, Marley and Me, My Sister's Keeper, The Book Thief, and Madeleine L'Engle's: The Time Quintet.

Favorite Quotes:

"Sticks and Stones won't break my soul, get out of the way I'm invincible" - Sticks and Stones by Aly and AJ

Real Beauty Isn't About Looking Like Everybody Else.

I'll take nothing less till I hear happily ever after :)
