Hmm, clarke quay has quite a few of them. The more famous one are located at a place call the cannery. You may want to check them out.
I think Forbidden city is somewhere in clarke quay but I have never been there. St james power station has a few different clubs there but most of them are playing techno and canto. One even cater to the older crowd which I wouldn't recommend you to go.

Hmmm, nightlife? If you are into and clubbing you can try Ministry of Sound (MoS) at clarke quay, just take MRT (train) there and ask around. Or Zouk, the most famous club in SG. If you are into pubbing, you can walk along clarke quay area. If you want to have supper, you can try maxwell food centre, or lau pa sat. Hope those information are helpful!

you can try zouk or Mos. There are some club house near clark quek, You can try it.
