I'm a 24 year old half-Filipin​o male and have recently joined the US Navy because I was fortunate enough to learn that I wouldn't have been happy wasting away behind a desk for most of my life.  It may be cliche, but I want to see the world because the view from my cubicle absolutely sucked. What would you choose if you had the choice between a sea of cubicles and..well.. the sea?!?

With that said, I am looking forward to visiting new places and would definitely like to check out Brazil, Australia, China, Korea, Japan, the UK, France, & Portugal.  Even though where I go is ultimately up to the Navy, I can still dream, right?!?

As far as a quick summation of my personality,​ my friends say that I'm a metrosexual,​ pretty boy rockstar (sans the talent and fame) whose life is a random occurrence of comedic mishaps.  Please, keep in mind that I still don't know if I agree with their assessment.  I guess you'll just have to see for yourself.

I'm just looking to meet some new and interesting people.  It would be cool to find someone with whom I can exchange, books, music, etc.  However, we probably won't have much to talk about if you're older than mid-20s. 

I'm getting into having snail-mail penpals since writing letters to friends is one of the few joys I have while at Navy Officer Candidate School.  However, I am looking for LASTING penpals and am not interested in ones who disappear after one or two letters.

Also, my best friend and I are planning a summer trip to Australia after years of talking about it.  If you're from there, then feel free to drop me a line as well because we have no idea what to do when we get there!

I took four years of Spanish in high school (1998-2002) and am half-Filipin​o, so Spanish and Tagalog are two languages that I'm interested in.

I have a tattoo on my left shin and an earring in each ear.  Though I probably won't get anymore piercings, I wanted another tattoo as soon as I got my first.  Tats are addicting!
