About Me:
I graduated from Plymouth unversity in Devon, England in September 2008 as a paediatric nurse and now work on a neonatal intensive care unit at the nearest hospital, so thats quite a big part of my life.
Bit of a girlie girl really, not the omg i broke a nail type tho! I am who i am, take me or leave me! I would say Im outgoing and bubbly, easy to get on with! Apart from that id say im pretty confident most of the time, kind hearted, strong minded, laid back and down to earth! Im quite an open person, honest and can be quite opinionated at times! Like to help others, be my own person, make new friends, learn new things and be good at what I do. Im very honest, will say what i think. Worry a bit too much sometimes and also think about things too much, but thats not always a bad thing. Like to take stock every now and then of life and its ups and downs... but above all I love to laugh so much that it hurts, with the friends and family I love to pieces.

Requests:
I used to have snail mail penpals quite a few years ago before i got snowed down with college and university work! I would like to get back into writing to a few people, preferably females around my age (22) from anywhere really. Im interested in America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand but im not too fussed what country your from as long as you can speak English! I prefer chatty letters/emails rather than short letters especially if writing to someone far away! Never really had a email penpal but wouldnt mind that either. No males please and especially no requests for marriage or a visa!!
Interests, Hobbies, etc.:
Like spending time with my friends! Going out for a boogie after a few (or in most cases 1 too many) drinks with my mates is definately on my list of things to do! Not a drunkered tho, also like going out for meals, going to the cinema, shopping, swimming, going for walks, concerts, broadway shows/musicals at the theatre, going to the beach,seeing different places in the UK aswell as in other countries and spending time with my boyfriend.
Love spending time with friends whether it be having fun day trips out or just sat having a chat and a giggle at home with a pizza and glass of wine! Also love spending time with my goddaughter freya, my friends little girl, who is nearly 2.
Other random things i like include going on holiday, fun days out, theme parks, singing, driving, cosying up in front the tele, watching good movies, listening to music, keeping fit (cant say i enjoy that bit as much tho)...
I really enjoy going to other countries and learning about their culture. I hope to visit more of America in the future and also Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Egypt, Dubai and the Carribean Islands.

I look after premature and poorly newborn babies which ranges from intensive care down to special care before they get better and go home. Im going back to university 1 day a week for 6 months this month to do further studying into intensive care of the newborn.

Love Celine Dion but like all sorts really, dance, chart, rock, and some light R and B! Some bands i like are the Fray, Lonestar, Snow Patrol, Coldplay, Oasis, the Verve, Lady GaGa, Akon, Beyonce, Leanne Rimes, Spice Girls, Sugababes, Newton Faulkner, Cascada, Rhianna, Girls Aloud, Pink, Timbaland, Jack Johnson, One Rebublic, Anna Nalick, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, Leona Lewis, The Verve, Alexandra Burke, Taylor Swift. Also like music from movies and musicals and music from the 70's/80's and 90's!
Favorite Movies:
Comedies, Thrillers, Chick flicks! Most films except gangster drug films! Some of my favourites include: Hes Just Not that Into You, My Sister's Keeper, FAME, knocked up, the holiday, hitch, the wedding date, made of honour, The Proposal, coyote ugly, butterfly on a wheel, derailed, the american pies, meet the parents/fockers, the wedding crashers, Sex and the City movie, girlie films like dirty dancing, grease, pretty women, notting hill, love actually.
Favorite TV Shows:
Greys Anatomy, One tree Hill, Private Practice, Desperate Housewives, Friends, Hollyoaks, Sex and the city, Lipstick Jungle, Brothers and Sisters, The Apprentice. The X factor and other similar reality talent shows are always good to have a laugh at!
Favorite Books:
Like books my Jodi Picoult, loved my Sisters Keeper, but dont really read much.

I work in the pharmacy department of the hospital as a pharmacy assistant, so I package oral meds and replenish stock on the units. It's definitely a good job to have while I'm still in uni. So, are you going back in november to do a course, or continuing education as part of your job?

That's so cool that you're a NICU nurse! I work at a children's hospital (although we just have a PICU), and I heard peds is alot differerent than adult sites. Did you choose neonatal care after your clinical/practicum?
