Well I can't speak on behalf of them but I can speaker on mines. The reason why I want to learn Asian languages is because I do art and plan to do anime and manga. I myself plan to learn a lot of languages.

well schools in america generally offer Chinese as a class already unlike japanese and Korean so of course you won't see a lot of people online asking about Chinese
