About Me:
I'm often asked about my username and to satisfy your curiousity, I can tell what I had on my mind when I came up with it.
Nordic has a geographical meaning, it's that simple. I wanted to indicate that I'm from Finland, one of the Nordic countries, and this is where my heart and soul belong to.
Fantasy stands for the mysterious and fascinating elements of Finnish culture and the Northern region. Finnish nature and landscape, winter darkness and nightless nights in summer, mythology and the mentality of Finnish people - that often creates interest towards about this little country far in the north and makes it something special, something unique and fascinating.
These are the things I wanted to feature, I know some of you have a vivid imagination and you had something else in your mind. Without going to details, I'm sorry to tell you that those impressions are wrong.
I guess that what I wrote above also tells something about me. I'm an average Finnish girl who is interested in mythology and history. I love nature and animals and wildlife, I spend as much time outdoors as possible. I like to do sports, when I'm not too lazy that is. I enjoy writing, reading and learning new things.
I'm openminded and I can talk about almost anything. I have many opinions of my own but I know that they can be wrong and I don't mind if people disagree with me. Instead I like that, it means that there's chances for a good conversation.
I have to admit that I'm not really interested in any country or any part of the world in particular. I'm more interested in people. When you learn to know someone, their daily life and special holidays, you can pretty much tell what the country where that person lives in is like. Maybe this is a rather uncommon approach, I wonder if anyone else thinks this way?
I was just reading what I wrote above and I probably sound like a boring person with no sense of humour. Luckily, I'm more interesting on emails and letters, writing these introductions and profile stuff is not one of my strenghts.
I know some people find it disturbing that I don't have my picture here. It's simply because it would make me feel very uncomfortable if random people could see what I look like. Besides, my inbox would be overloaded with "hi pretty girl" messages which would be very unfortunate.
Well, this is where my creativity ends. If you have any questions about me, my life or Finland, feel free to ask.

Requests:
I'm looking for new email and snail mail pals. Some msn pals would be nice too but I'd like to get to know you first before adding you.
I'd prefer nice people around my age, who have the time and dedication to keep in touch regularly and who are not going to stop writing after 1 or 2 letters/emails. It's not necessary that you share my interests because I like to learn about different things that are new for me, it's all about having a good conversation.
Are you creepy? Are you here on this site looking for romance/flirting or a relationship? If your answer is yes, don't send me a message and waste my time.

Interests, Hobbies, etc.:
My horses. I've got 2 horses of my own and for me working with them is the most important thing in the world.
Animals. During this spring I managed to build some trust between me and a wild cat that has been living near our house and barn the past 6 months or so. I thought this cat was a boy but it turned out that she was going to have kittens. Now I just need to find those kittens and make them trust me as well. Yeah, I'm pretty crazy I guess.
Reading. One of the best and most meaningful ways to waste time.
Writing, especially letters and emails. I suppose it's quite obvious as I'm on this site.
Collecting things I don't need. My main interest is postcards (old ones, I'm sure you could tell that from my profile picture). It takes a huge part of my time, not to mention my money, so that's another thing that proves I'm a little bit crazy. Again, it makes me happy so I'm proud to be silly.
Running. I love jogging because I get to be outdoors, by myself, and of course exercising is always good.
Photography. Something I haven't really done lately, maybe in summer I will have time and interest to take photos.
Favorite Music:
I can tolerate many kinds of music but do I have any favourites? Not really. Some people say that music is their life, I'm not one of those people because I can manage perfectly well even without music.
Favorite Movies:
My attention span is too short for watching movies.
Favorite TV Shows:
Keeping up the Appearances, Last of the Summer Wine, Big Bang Theory, The Office, Project Runway.
Favorite Books:
I read a lot, usually 1-4 books a week. I love literature from 1800-1950, books written before that are often a bit hard for me to understand because the language and the world are so different these days than back then. Recent novels are more or less horrible - of course there are several exceptions too. Our modern technology makes it possible to write a book in short time and also edit the text, however looks like computers have destroyed the human creativity. Why is it that good stories aren't written any more even though there's all the chances to create something magnificent? Anyway, among my favourite authors are George Orwell, Alexandre Dumas, Stephen King, Khaled Hosseini, Agatha Christie, Charles Dickens and Dan Brown.
Favorite Quotes:
Everything happens for a reason.
