About Me:
♦ Hi! :)
A few things about me :
I'm a constant dreamer, not down-to-earth. I try to work on my imagination all the time, this is my way out of ordinary life. I had to do something of my daydreaming habit. That's why I'm currently writing my first novel.
I have a melancholic side, and I like that, as strange as it sounds. But I can also be very goofy and wacky sometimes.
I was very shy when I was younger. I was not the popular kind of girl in school, because of my shyness. Some people tend to judge others when they don't know them. I was kept in the background very often. But now, I have really good friends and they mean a lot to me. They give me self-confidence. Friendship is a gift.
I don't believe in fate. I think everyone is the master of his/her life. It's the choices you make that build your future, not some imaginary predetermined fate.
I've just finished my studies at the university. I have a degree of English language, civilization and literature, and a Masters of FLE. I'm kind of taking a year off, to decide on what I really want to do. I don't want to make a mistake, so... I prefer to take my time. And it was a tough year - last year - for me. I'm glad I'm taking a break.
One of my biggest dreams is to visit all the Celtic countries (Ireland, Scotland, Cornwall, Wales...) as well as England. I love everything Celtic. This is a culture that is firmly rooted in me, although I have no Celtic origins. I guess it is the mysterious side of this culture that appeals to me mostly.

Requests:
♦ Males/females. In my age range (20-35), so it's easier to have things in common, and we can relate more easily to each other's situation and daily life, because we may be experiencing the same things.
Preferably people from the UK, the USA, or France. I'd love to make new friends so that we could meet up someday.
I'd like to meet people with whom I could talk about anything, very freely, without judgement. When I get to know someone very well, I can be a chatterbox. :)
I don't want to sound too demanding, but I really want to find true friends, not just people to talk to once in awhile to pass the time.
No snail mail. I prefer emails, it's way faster than snail mail. If we don't live in the same country, it's particularly long to wait. And... letters can get lost by the postal service. It happened to me a few times. I understand that some people prefer snail mail. It's more personal and it can be fun to receive a letter. But I'd rather chat by email, so I can send you a message whenever I want to, to add something that I forgot in the previous email, or just when I feel like chatting. Emails are much more handy than letters. I write very long emails, when I have a lot in common with the friend I'm writing to. I love to let my thoughts out. I can get carried away very easily, if the topic of the conversation is one of my passions. And I love receiving long emails too, of course. Hehe!
I also love to chat via msn. My best friend and I can spend hours on msn, it's great because it's interactive.
EDIT : I've received so many short impersonal messages on this website, in the last two years... I'm growing tired of that. Please, when you send me a message, give me a good reason to want to reply to you.
Everyone has a life, so... everyone should have interesting things to say. It just takes patience and motivation... If you don't feel up to that... don't waste your time sending me a message. I'm not asking for the impossible. I want to hear about you, your likes, your dislikes, what makes you who you are. There must be something that holds my attention. I don't know what yet, but I'll know when I read your message. :)

No quote from my novel. Not that I'm paranoid, but I don't want anyone to steal them. I hope to have it published someday. So... for now it's top secret. ;)
But here are a few beautiful quotes and poems that are close to my heart, from some writers that I admire.
♦ - "A Hidden Place"
Each of us has a hidden place
Somewhere deep within ourselves;
A place where we go to get away,
To think things through,
To be alone, to be ourselves.
This unique place, where we confront our deepest feelings,
Becomes a storehouse of all our hopes,
All our needs, all our dreams,
And even our unspoken fears.
It encompasses the essence of who we are and what we want to be.
But now and then, whether by chance or design,
Someone discovers a way into that place we thought was ours alone.
And we allow that person to see, to feel and to share
All the reason, all the uncertainty
And all the emotion we've stored up there.
That person adds new perspective to our hidden realm,
Then quietly settles down in his own corner of our special place,
Where a bit of himself will stay forever.
And we call that person a friend.
(Carol Elaine Faivre-Scott)
~~~~~~~~
- "Perseverance is a great element of success. If you only knock long enough and loud enough at the gate, you are sure to wake up somebody." (Henry Wadsworth Longfellow)
~~~~~~~~
- "You wrap your thoughts in works of art - And they're hanging on the walls of my heart." ("I'm yours" - The Script)
~~~~~~~~
- "One need not be a chamber to be haunted - One need not be a house - The brain has corridors surpassing material place." (Emily Dickinson)
~~~~~~~~
- "My heart's in the Highlands"
My heart's in the Highlands, my heart is not here,
My heart's in the Highlands a-chasing the deer,
A-chasing the wild deer and following the roe,
My heart's in the Highlands, wherever I go.
Farewell to the Highlands, farewell to the North,
The birthplace of valour, the country of worth.
Wherever I wander, wherever I rove,
The hills of the Highlands for ever I love.
Farewell to the mountains high cover'd with snow,
Farewell to the straths and green valleys below,
Farewell to the forests and wild-hanging woods,
Farewell to the torrents and loud-pouring floods.
(Robert Burns)
