About Me:
.... nothing like the sun.
Requests:
Calorie free chocolate.
I'm really not looking for romance. Just eFriendships.
Absolute Positives: A sense of humour and the ability to string a sentence together. An appreciation of the value of pointless babble. It's a skill.
Things that will have me clicking on Delete or Block: all the usual scamm-y, propos-y, full of s#%t stuff.
Absolute deal breakers: Religious types and people who find reality TV entertaining. To each his own but I don't deal well with either.

Interests, Hobbies, etc.:
Music. Reading. Music. Writing. Eating chocolate. (Some may say that doesn't constitute a hobby, but it does the way I do it.) Music. And did I mention music?
Music.
Music.
Favorite Music:
Any advice on how to pick "Favourite Music"? There's far too much music I love! Mmm. Mainstream and "West Coast" jazz. Performers: Clooney. Ella. McRae. Bill Evans. Torme. Composers: Porter. Ellington. Warren. et al. Tragic 80s rock and pop. Kiss. JS Bach. Pink. Bush. Pink Floyd. Oooh and Ben Folds, Eskimo Joe, Cake, Level 42, Sting, Queen, Fall Out Boy, Marillion. I could seriously keep adding to these forever! Hopefully I will.
Not a big fan of country I guess.
Not a big fan of country I guess.
Favorite Movies:
The Long Kiss Goodnight. Serenity. (Joss Whedon is a legend.) Orgazmo. When Harry Met Sally. (Yes, it's a chick flick. Deal with it.) Nightmare on Elm Street. Austen Powers. Love Actually. Devil's Advocate. Bridget Jones Diary. Being John Malkivich. 10 Things I Hate About You. The Princess Bride.
Favorite TV Shows:
All things Joss wrote, directed, edited, briefly considered making, scribbled on a pizza box, blogged or mentioned to his third cousin while in a drunken stupor. I now compare all TV to Buffy, Angel and Firefly.
Sex in the City. Mash. Roseanne. Xena. Scrubs. House. That 70s Show. Veronica Mars. Farscape. The Office - the US one. (Go figure.) South Park. Robot Chicken. Aaaarrrgghh. TOO MANY!
I enjoy comedy, sci fi, drama, shoes that are silly and surreal, action and so on. Think Reality TV is the lowest form of entertainment in the history of this and any other universe.

Favorite Books:
The Jane Austen ouvre. (I have an Austenfest every year.) Legend. (Gemmel.) Most of Feist's stuff including the Wurts collaborations: Mistress of the Empire - and so on. Have a soft spot for Shakespeare. Douglas Adams is my Dali Lama. The Cherry Orchard. (I still hear the snapping string in the distance.) I also, periodically, Wait for Godot.
Favorite Quotes:
"After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music." - Aldous Huxley.
“Beans are neither fruit nor musical.” - Bart Simpson at the blackboard
“Yeah, I could do that, but I'm paralyzed with not caring very much.” – Spike. Triangle.
"Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so." - D. Adams
"Go that way, really fast, and if something gets in your way, turn." Best advice ever, from the 80s flick Better Off Dead.
“If you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.” - Catherine Aird
"Where words leave off, music begins." - Heinrich Heine
“Homer no function beer well without.” - Homer
"If the apocalypse comes, beep me." - Buffy.
"I have measured out my life with coffee spoons." - T.S. Eliot. (Can I fit the entire Prufrock in?)
"If you lift a guinea-pig up by the tail, his eyes drop out!" - Frederick Locker-Lampton. (How does he know? How does he know??!?!)
“Well, the E-flat, it's... it's doable. But it's that diminished ninth, you know... it's a man's chord. You could lose a finger.” – Oz. What’s My Line.
"You just wait. I'll sin till I blow up!" - Dylan Thomas.
“You want the truth? You can’t handle the truth. No truth handler you. Bah! I deride your truth handling abilities.” - Sideshow Bob

Offbeat, you sound lexiconic! I like it! Wonderful quotes, and come on "Level 42" music, how could you not be great, not to mention a few others like Ella, or the other numptious connections such as "The Long Kiss Goodnight" Great empowerment movie if you ask me. just thought I'd stop by for a hello! I'll bet you're a hoot as a performer you look wonderful in your photos! Take care. -B
You are funny. Its not wise to wear suits made from pork. LOL!
Absolutely....the pitch fork motif...it's all strictly camp and retro trash. When you meet the devil, he'll have dual reeds between his lips.
Hey, thanks for stopping by! Understand what you mean about a life long love affair with language - I used to be like that myself, but got too old for it...so I got my tongue tied...(you asked for a really bad pun, right? lol...) Have a great week!
A week from next Tuesday - Wow - may have to move some things around - but, I think it is do able. hahahaha
