About Me:

There's not a whole lot to say... I'm a native english speaker out of the U.S., and i can speak french, although i've only been studying it for about 5 years. I'm of Korean descent, so I would like to learn the language. I'm a Marxist and a Nihilist (if you don't know what they are, ask me! I'd love to share) and I play a few instruments (Viola is my first instrument, but i play Bass, Guitar, Cello, Violin and Piano). I love music and writing, and i would love to meet people around the world.

Requests:

I'll talk to anyone in English, but if you speak French, tell me and i'll do my best.
Also, I would like to speak with people from Korea, Japan and Britain.

Yeah what's your definition of nihilism and what's your definition of marxism and is it possible to be both? Can I ask if your parents have shared the same views or maybe as a 17 year old you might just be feeling a little bit of teenage angst. I think we sometimes get our views from our parents, which might explain why there have been two lunatics in the White House. But I often get a feeling that some teenagers are just being a little bit rebellious and choose opposing views from their parents.

Ah so you like Belle and Sebastian and Franz Ferdinand, that's cool, to be honest i've never really listened to Belle and Sebastian but they're quite popular here. Franz Ferdinand are good, i really liked their first album.
Yeah i agree with you about bands having to conform to the mainstream in order to get radioplay, i think it's a shame that they have to do that which is probably why i prefer bands that no one here has heard of, though some of the less mainstream bands get some airplay here, but not that much. I agree with you about the music sounding more natural when a band has more freedom, i always like music with weird or distorted vocals which is quite difficult to sell to the mainstream but i sometimes think that the vocals are more natural when they aren't all typical Britney Spears type vocals

Thanks for the explanation :) I've heard of that school of thought before, actually, just had no idea what the name for it was. Truth is relative, I agree, because all truth is a point of view. Society uses 'truth' as a form of social control, I think.

I'm sure if you moved here for a while you'd enjoy it, there are some nice things to enjoy here, i suppose i'm just a little jaded with it because i've always lived here, i think most people feel that way about where they grew up. What's your favourite band? I don't know that many bands based here really apart from some of the bands that friends or schoolmates are in. Most of the bands i like ten to be from Scandanavia bizarrely.
Wow molecular biology and chemistry sounds really intense, but then again i never enjoyed science.
I am at university, i just finished my first year studying film and media, french and economics

Hey, how are you? Would you mind explaining to me what Nihlism is? I have a vague idea, but I'm not 100% certain.
I find Marxism fascinating, though I haven't yet managed to get round to reading the whole of 'Das Kapital'. I've read The Communist Manifesto, and I have to agree with you that its ideals are very interesting.
