Requests:
Looking for spiritual and interesting people of any sex, age, creed, nationality or conviction. I would, however, love to get acquainted with someone who shares my fascination for Buddhism and ethics, but anyone's welcome to write.
I am *not* looking for a relationship.

Interests, Hobbies, etc.:
Buddhism and Buddhist Ethics, anything that helps me figure out what I'm supposed to be doing here on this planet, reading books, listening to music (love attending live shows), watching movies, enjoying poetry, watching and playing sports - football/soccer (Come on you Spurs!), weightlifting, boxing, martial arts, hiking/walking, bicycling, philosophy (of life), East Asian culture - Chinese, Korean and Japanese for the most part.
Favorite Music:
I love all sorts of music, and listen to anything from Chopin to Outkast. I do, however, lean towards the Alt. Country/Folk-Rock genres. Der Himmel über Berlin (Wings of Desire), Faraway So Close!, Spring Summer Fall Winter, Ghost Dog, The Crow, Shawshank Redemption, Amelie, Before Sunrise/Sunset, Rocky :), Savior, Sling Blade, The Big Lebowski, The Fisher King, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Motorcycle Diaries, Bin-jip, Lost in Translation, Oldboy, In the Mood for Love, 2046, Dead Poets Society, As Good as it Gets, Snow Falling on Cedars, Chungking Express, Chinese Box, A Very Long Engagement, The Barbarian Invasions, The Sea Inside, Hero, Cinema Paradiso, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, The Station Agent, Blinkende Lygter, Chocolat, MASH, Into the Wild, The Indian Runner.. I could go on for a while.
I tend to like just about anything by Wim Wenders, Beat Takeshi, Kim Ki Duk, Wong Kar Wai, Jim Jarmusch and any movie starring Bill Murray, Chow Yun Fat or Will Ferrell. :)

Favorite TV Shows:
My Name is Earl, Californication, Heroes. Prison Break was great the first season. I love real life adventure shows and travelogues, like Michael Palin's series, Long Way Round/Long Way Down and the new Charley Boorman series. Most of my favourite shows are old shows.. MASH, Twin Peaks, Homicide: Life on the Street, The Pretender, That 70s Show, Life on Mars, Carnivale. Love British murder mysteries like Poirot, Midsomer Murders, Wire in the Blood, Foyle's War. British comedy, too. Monty Python, Blackadder, Yes Minister and lots more.
Favorite Books:
Midnight's Children, The Moor's Last Sigh, On the Road, Dharma Bums, Norwegian Wood, Kafka on the Shore, Siddhartha, The Prophet. I read a great deal of non-fiction literature, especially books on Buddhism and Eastern thinking. Anything from the Suzukis to Krishnamurti. I always have a book of poetry on my nightstand. Some of my favourites are Rilke, Rumi, Gibran, Peter Handke, Bukowski, Neruda, Eliot, some of the classics such as Blake, Whitman, Frost, Keats and so on... there are too many to mention. I also enjoy haiku poetry, especially Basho.

hello, thanks for stopping by^^ how are you?
In a sermon, Bodhidharma says:
there are 3 mental poisons, greed, hatred and ignorance.Suffering comes from these poisons.Their antidotes are morality(renounce), meditation(peace of mind) and wisdom(reading suttas, meeting sangha and masters).
I think it is a verry important teaching of buddhism.

I have read some books...
Zen is buddhism or a sincretism buddhism+taoism but Krishnamurti is close to Zen because he is not dogmatic and he is open minded.

Buddha says: the Dharma will be ur master. But in fact i am not alone because in my dojo there are monks and a friend of mine is an old monk(here in my city),the chief of the dojo. But i have never met any Zen master(they are in paris or in Southern France).Thich Nhat Hanh is in France.I hope to go soonly visiting him because i like its books.
In fact it doesn't matter if i don't reach satori in this life because zazen and budo are enought to make me happy; My gf has just left me because of Tibet(she is communist and we have political problems) but i am fine...thanx Dharma.

We have a kagyupa center here.I have been there several times but i don't like practicing it because they only sing or say mantras and practice little meditation.

Well, maybe u can learn before yoga posture of lotus( padmasambhava) and then apply it to Zen.
Or maybe if u go to Copenhague or big city u go to a Zen dojo to learn the zazen, and then apply it to ur home.
