About Me:
Is anyone else experiencing all the problems I am having with interpals? The slow downs, the fake notifications (like i have 4 new wall postings, when I don't :/ ), I'm getting pretty frustrated with it. I'll probably stay away for a bit and hope it gets fixed. But I'll try to get back to you asap. If you have my email feel free to contact me through there :]
I'm baffled by profiles where people just put 3 or 4 sentences in their 'about me' section. How do they decide what to put and what to keep out? But I'm going to make an honest attempt to do just that. These sentences don't count. lol
I believe honesty and respect are important and I detest hypocrisy and being played for a fool. I'm rough around the edges and tend to go against the grain, but that doesn't mean I'm not lady-like. I'm a conservative risk taker, and I don't know how to drive any slower than 20 mph over the speed limit. I love it when I run in to profiles where people use big words and are grammatically correct, but I also love strategically placed bad words in songs (for effect of course). I don't believe that anyone is better than me, but I also don't believe that I am better than anyone. I want to be the change that I want to see in the world.
**SO how did I do? I think I failed miserably. lol oh well.**
My profile is a work in progress, just like myself, but if you want to learn more look in my notes, I put the previous versions of my 'about me' section in there!

Everything I'm not made me everything I am.
I'm stuck in a city when I belong in a field.
If I met you in a scissor fight, I'd cut off both your wings on principle alone.

Requests:
I am now officially beginning the process of planning a trip to the west coast. California to be specific. So, I need your help. I want to fly into either LA or San Fran and drive up or down the coast and possibly take in some of the national parks, etc. Even considering the extended ride to either Las Vegas or The Grand Canyon. I need suggestions, recommendations from anyone living in the area, or having made a similar trip! Thanks in advance! FYI-Trip to occur some time in the Spring, most likely April.
I feel bad saying no to new snail mail requests, but right now I think I've taken on more penpals than I can handle. So right now I am not taking on new penpals, unlesssssss you really catch my attention, then I probably wont be able to resist ;}
An observation:
Interpals proves that beauty is in the eye of the beholder because no matter what a person looks like, someone is always going to find you hot, sexy, cute, pretty, handsome, beautiful, etc.
It's either that, or people do it for entertainment. lol
I'm not going to put conditions on our friendship before I know you, so feel free to ask me for anything including money, marriage, visas, etc. Just because you ask, doesn't mean I'll be granting your request. ;]
I'd like to learn more about the Arabic culture/language as I have a great deal of interest in many things arabic.
Those who are on my friend's list are all people I either snail mail with or have continuous contact with via interpals. If I don't hear from you for a while I delete. Not to be rude but I'm not here to have a big number of friends! I think it's more about quality than quantity ;)
I'd like to hear what books you recommend!

Favorite Quotes:
"We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give."- Sir Winston Churchill
"Don't let someone become a priority in your life, when you are just an option in theirs" (Don't know who said this, but I love it--I have to remind myself of this at all times)
“The worst thing to call somebody is crazy. It's dismissive. 'I don't understand this person so they're crazy.' That's bull----. These people are not crazy. They are strong people. Maybe the environment is a little sick.”-Dave Chappelle during an episode of Inside the Actors Studio
"All the world 's a stage, and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts"
-Shakespeare
When someone sees the same people everyday they wind up becoming part of that person's life. And then they want the person to change. If someone isn't what others want them to be, the others become angry. Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives, but none about his or her own.
-From the book "The Alchemist"
See a world in a grain of sand And a heaven in a wild flower, Hold infinity in the palm of your hand And eternity in an hour.
-from the poem "To See a World..." by William Blake
"...There is so much to learn and know. And maybe we can be in two places at once by having friends in other places who love other things"
-Ace
Girl from bootcamp: Are you sweating?
My response: no, it's just my body crying.
Just going to church doesn't make you a Christian
any more than standing in your garage makes you a car.
-Unknown
Nothing makes us so lonely as our secrets
-Paul Tournier
Sadness is a wall between two gardens.
-Khalil Gibran
Let's pray that the human race never escapes earth to spread its iniquity elsewhere.
-C.S. Lewis
In my head there’s a greyhound station
Where I send my thoughts to far off destinations
So they may have a chance of finding a place
where they’re far more suited than here
-Soul Meet Body by Death Cab for Cutie
"I can't tell you how much I love you without cursing."
(lol, I don't know the guy's name. I heard it on the radio, but he is a British DJ)
From the book The Shack:
Life takes a bit of time and a lot of relationship.
For any created being, autonomy is lunacy. Freedom involves trust and obedience inside a relationship of love.
Humans have a great capacity for declaring something good or evil, without truly knowing.
