Music is a big part of my life.  I love indie rock, punk rock, a lot of 80's postpunk stuff, not to mention the art garage and glam rock of the 60s and 70s.  I'm from New Orleans and I love jazz.  You'll also find me listening to a lot of classical symphonic music.  Some of my favorite bands include Velvet Underground,​ Kinks, Sonics, Ramones, Flaming Lips, Radiohead, Pixies, Pavement, Sonic Youth, etc. Oh, and Canada seems to be producing a lot of good music lately...Arc​ade Fire, Tokyo Police Club, etc.

There are so many good ones and I won't list everything here.  A few of my absolute favorite movies are Dr Strangelove,​ Restoration,​ Immortal Beloved, Harold & Maude, Blade Runner, and The Great Escape.  I pretty much love all of Wes Anderson's movies (Rushmore, Tenenbaums, Darjeeling, etc).  I'm also not a film snob.  I liked Dark Knight and Transformers​ as much as the next guy.  I'm not much for romantic comedies, although Joe Versus the Volcano and Love Actually are excellent movies.

I do not watch very much television but some shows that I do enjoy are Daily Show, Colbert Report, Heroes, Battlestar Galactica, anything Star Trek, Arrested Development,​ NOVA.
