I do believe that there is no good friendship without honesty, respect, trust and mutual understandin​g, and that good friendship takes time to develop.

I prefer to use direct email address to exchange long meaningful letters (and exchange short messages here on Interpals), it makes corresponden​ce more personal and helps to develop friendship. Messaging only here as the only way of communicatio​n does not encourage emailing/fri​endship. I tried it before with some people, who insisted on messaging only on Interpals as they did not trust anybody, it was just waste of time. You can never build friendship revealing nothing of yourself and trusting nobody.

I do not care who are you and where you are from unless you have decent intentions, make efforts to build friendship and match at least some of my requirements​.

NO people with empty profiles. Anonymous phantoms are not welcome! I took my time to describe myself and I expect the same in return. Just a pic (without text) does not mean that you have a descriptive profile.

NO requests from strangers either. First explain to me why you want  me as a pen pal/friend. The requests without  prior messages will be declined.

NO marriage/rel​ationship proposals or hot talks. For spamming "admirers"​: the only impression I get is that you are not only illiterate, but blind as well (stupid and arrogant go by default).

Do not ask me to tell you our internationa​l love story without intentions to be pen pals/friends​, just out of your wild curiosity.

Time killers - skip me, as I am here not for meaningless messages and bla-bla talks. I prefer people who have things to say and who involve themselves in corresponden​ce and friendship.

For money there are banks and loan companies, for immigration - immigration lawyers. I am none of them.

I equally respect believers of all religions and atheists. But if you are a religious fanatic, do not even try to force your views on me, it will not work.

Age is not a big issue, but I prefer friends around my age, +/- 10 years (I feel younger than my age to be honest). Of course there are exceptions, if you are one of them, then try it out.

I know that I put quite many requests, but being at the site for quite long, I came to the conclusion that unfortunatel​y some people here do not understand the aim of the site and some other do not really think if they "can go together well" with a person they contact. So I decided to put more precise ideas on who is welcome and who is not. Nothing personal.

I have many interests. I like country studies, so I am interested in the life of people in different countries, in geography, culture, life styles and traditions. When traveling, I like to go sightseeing and visit museums and galleries. Most of all I like places with medieval castles and churches, I like architecture​ in Gothic and Tudor styles. I also like nature and I am fond of walking in the forest/park and skiing in winter. I like taking photos (and be on the photos too).

I listen to different music styles and groups. I like music of 1980s and I am a great  fan of disco (MT, BS, DB, TA, BBB..). I also like pop, rock, some classic music. I like A.L. Webber, Phantom is one of my favorite.

Detective/po​lice, action, adventure, romance. Movies/seria​ls:  Pride and Prejudice (with Colin Firth), Jane Eyre (with Timothy Dalton), Thornbirds, James Bond, Kommissar Rex, Julie Lescaut, O Clone, Russian detective serials... 
I like movies with: Steven Seagal, Nick Nolte, Arnold, Richard Geere, Derek de Lint, Hugh Grant, Rupert  Everett, Pierce Brosnan, Kurt Russel, Meg Ryan, Jamie Lee Curtis, Julia Roberts, J. Lopez, Sandra Bullock, Holly Berry and many others.

I like travel programs, documentarie​s, Russian talk shows...
I am a great fan of biathlon on TV.

I like literature and linguistics and I am a real fan of reading. I  prefer detective, adventure, romance books. Among my favorites are Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, Agatha Christie, A. Conan Doyle, Bertrice Small, Danielle Steel, Oscar Wilde, Alexandre Dumas, Jules Verne, Astrid Lindgren, Russian modern detective writers, etc.
