About Me:

Hi,

My name is Jules. I'm 24, orginally from Ireland but now living in the UK. I'm a sound engineer. I love languages and learning about other cultures and backgrounds.

My native languages are English and Irish. I have some French and German which are proably a little bit rusty at the minute. I also have a few words in Afrikaans but haven't had the oppurtunity to speak it in a while.... I think Punjabi and Spanish are next on the list to learn!

Requests:

I would like to speak to anyone regardless of where they're from. I definitely welcome language exchange in any of the above mentioned languages...

I guess emailing is better for me at the moment because I'm not always home to receive letters. Also my hand writing is terrible!! : )

I guess I'd think about snail mail tho.. I do love post!

Language Exchange Requests:

Obviously being my native tounges, English and Irish are my best languages. I would like to brush up on my french and german tho and perhaps some Afrikaans?

Interests, Hobbies, etc.:

Sound Engineering, music n lot's of it! Playing guitar, low whistle and lately the uilleann pipes... collecting anything nightmare before christmas....:) Also love computers and playing counter strike! As you can see from the above text I also like irish.. or just languages in general.... Innealtóireacht fuaime, ceol agus ceol arís! An guitar agus an feadóg a sheint agus le déanaí na phíobaí uilleann... Is bréa liom aon rud Nightmare before Christmas! Ba mhaith liom ríomhairí agus Counter Strike! Agus is breá liom an ghaeilge... nó aon teanga....

Favorite Music:

metallica, JUST JINGER (check these guys out!), Boo!, less than jake, catch 22, nofx, rancid, Tracy Chapman, lady smith black mambazo, Kíla, bulgarian folk singing, anything irish trad, ella fitzgerald, louis armstrong, art blakey and the jazz messengers, a bit of brahms is nice.. basically a lot........!!!!! Uhhh.. ba mhaith liom ceoil...

Favorite Movies:

Aon rud faoi (Anything from) Leon Schuster agus Nightmare Before Christmas!!!! Don't need any more than this! Ní gá do aon rud eile!

Favorite TV Shows:

Family Guy, The Simpsons and officially now, I am hooked on 24! For those of you who have never watched 24, watch w/ extreme caution. It will ruin your social life!! Finding myself w/ a day off, I decided to watch 15 hours of it back to back. Not bad for someone who never watches telly (or always falls asleep doing so:). I also love House and Monk! Ooh and Psych!!

Favorite Books:

Anything Terry Pratchett! The Bible... What more do ya need! : ) Cad eile a bheadh uait?!

How are you? How is it going on your side of the pond?

Is your last name a COMMON Irish last name? Forgive my ignorance, but everytime an Irish character is on TV or in the movies over this side of the pond, it's either O'Reilly, or O'Ryan etc. lol, seeing your last name kinda blows that biased opinion of Irish people. lol.

Also, forgive me for reading what your fellow Irishwoman had written you, but again, is that how you, Irish people I mean, is that how you realy speak and write? Rnquiring minds want to know. lol.

Anyways, if I haven't offended you, or haven't seemed like a total dork, I'd like to hear from you and about you.
