I have just completed my Bachelor's Degree in Criminology,​ with a minor in Psychology.

Right now I work part-time in a library, but I would like to find some work in the Criminal Justice field (in a civilian capacity - I'm not cut out for the life of a police officer).

I love pets...this is the first time in my life that I have been without either a cat or a dog in the house.  I'll probably have to adopt another pet soon.

I would especially like snail mail from women around my age in the UK, Switzerland,​ Czech Republic, Norway, France, Netherlands.​..well, just about anywhere.

I really need to practice the French I learned in school (so long ago), because I would love to visit Paris one day.

The little bit of German I know consists of bad words, so I would like to learn something I can use! ;)

I don't know anything of Norwegian or Swedish, but I would love to learn how to speak and read those languages too.

reading, cross stitching, travelling, music, writing, Pilates (I really have to get to the gym more)...I'm also really interested in fashion and beauty, but that mostly consists of buying & reading magazines.  I'm not a designer.  Maybe in the next life...

I like a lot of music, but some favourites include: David Bowie, Queen, Duran Duran, A-ha, Sarah Slean, Hawksley Workman, Danny Michel, Blondie, Pink, Extreme, Eurythmics, Foo Fighters, Iggy Pop, Tin Machine, Aerosmith, Grant Lee Buffalo, Aimee Mann, the Wallflowers,​ Tom Petty.... Maybe some of the artists in my collection don't seem to go together, but I have varied tastes...

The Goonies, The Muppet Movie, The Blues Brothers, Ghostbusters​, Labyrinth, The Commitments,​ Down and Out with the Dolls, Romy & Michele's High School Reunion, Yellow Submarine, Run Fatboy Run... I mostly like comedies and movies about bands.

CSI, Criminal Minds, The First 48, American Justice, Cold Case Files any true crime shows really, but I also like fun stuff like So You Think You Can Dance, Project Runway, Blush, Shear Genius, Project Runway Canada, Project Catwalk, and What Not to Wear. I also love the Mary Tyler Moore Show!

I read a lot of true crime, otherwise I like the novels of Elizabeth Berg, I like Chuck Palahniuk...​I'm all over the map in terms of what I read.  I really like reading authors from other countries whose work has been translated to English - they have a completely different style and perspective than North American or UK writiers.  Recently I have read Anne Holt and Per Pettersen, and I love Banana Yoshimoto.
