Pen pals only, please.  I used to travel a lot (mostly Europe) when I was younger, but family life and work prevent it now (I'm not complaining though!).  But correspondin​g with pen pals is the next best thing to travelling around the world and meeting people from all walks of life.  I really enjoy writing and reading what others have to say.

I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, running and cycling.  I also enjoy film, reading, art and gardening.  But I'm also a big fan of hanging out and doing nothing.

Very eclectic taste in music - from grunge rock to bluegrass to classical to different types of ethnic music.  Love blues too.

Rushmore, Empire of the Sun, Groundhog Day, I just saw Wall-E with the kiddies and thought that movie was really cool - especially the first 30 minutes.

Frontline, Saturday Night Live (from the original to the present cast), travel shows - I like Anthony Bourdain's show "No Reservations"​ on the Travel Channel.

Anything by Kurt Vonnegut and other satirical writers, all kinds of history books, I read more non-fiction than fiction.  I read the Bible pretty regularly.
