Hi (all the millions of people out there reading these immortal words)! After spending an hour with the "empty page syndrome"​ I should have a clear idea of how to describe myself... So, we live in a fast world but I prefer slow food and snail mail. I´m addicted to travelling (more than 40 countries so far), learning / teaching languages and exploring other cultures. Dancing to Latin-Americ​an rhythms, good books & movies, a
stroll in a beautiful Scandinavian​ landscape, a good laugh with friends, gardening and writing are a few of the things that make me happy. I´d like to think that I´m an enthusiastic​, profound and warm person with interesting thoughts about life. I'm based in a small seaside town about 60 km from the Russian border and happily married since 10 years to a great guy that shares both my appetite for globetrottin​g and wicked sense of humour.

Sorry guys! Don't post any requests on my wall - they will be deleted! I'm only looking for female pen pals and hoping for a warm-hearted​ friendship for many years to come. You don´t have to have the same interests as I, but I would like you to share your hopes, fears, joys and sorrows with me. Warning: I will write you ten pages about every day life without making you bored! To be perfectly honest, at the moment I'm not on the look-out for more pen friends, but if you manage to produce a fun and long letter (4 sheets of A4 or more) frequently (once a month) and think I could be your kindred soul, send your "letter​ of application"​. :D

On top of soaking up foreign countries and languages, I love to do cross-cultur​al cooking. I'm not a sportoholic,​ but go to the gym 2-3 times a week, especially for a dance class or any oriental workout (yoga, tai chi). And we have a cottage by the Baltic Sea that keeps me busy in the summer (the seaview photo accompaning my profile is from the cottage).

World music - Cuban, Brazilian & Indian music - music from the 80s in particular, but I'm not so picky.

My classical top 3 ages ago used to be: "The Big Blue", "The Sheltering Sky", "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown"​ - all dramatic and visually impressive.

I don't watch TV that often, but if I do, I go for British crime or travelling and cooking programs
