I would describe myself as a basically down to earth person.  What you see is what you get. I do not play games, and dislike those who do.
I am honest, sincere, caring, loyal, and giving (sometimes to a fault).

I am here to check it out, see what comes of it, and maybe make some new friends...

But it has come to pass that 'friends' are not what some people on here are looking for.  And yes, you know who you are.

I do not have time for frivolities,​ and I am NOT on here to 'hook up' with anyone. For F@@k sake,  if that is the kind of phoney crap you are looking for, there are plenty of other sites that are designed around those particular types of  'searches'.   Go there, and leave the people who just want to be 'Real',  alone.

Yeah..I know that that all should've been in my 'requests',.​.but really, - does it even matter anymore..?

I am not interested in exchanging money, or helping anyone come to Canada to live.

I am not the least bit interested in talking to anyone about sex, or their sex life, or lack there of...as I said -  there are sites that cater to that kind of crap, and I am NOT on any of them.
If that is what you are into, find and go to those sites.

And good luck with that...

I am interested in learning about other countries, cultures and customs.
I would love to do some more travelling one of these days, so it would be wonderful to know some contacts in various places.

I am not looking for a relationship​ at this time. I have just had my heart badly broken by a certain 'photographe​r'  who is also on this site...

I find it so sad that people feel they need to lie about who they are on here....but it's even more sad that there are so many people who fall for it.

And unlike certain people on here, it does not matter to me if you have a photo of yourself posted (so many of them are fake anyway). Since I am only looking for friends, what should it matter what you look like?  I am not that shallow...

I would like to hear from sincere people who want to 'chat' about their country, their lives, their days....and hopefully begin a lasting friendship; one built on truth and honesty - not phony, made up profiles.

Reading, history, hiking, camping, travel,....a​nd always interested and hungry to learn new things - not only about the world around me, but about myself also.

I have even been know to enjoy the occasional "check your brain at the door" movie...

Amazing Race; Survivor; Lost; Corner Gas; Desparate Housewives; Grey's Anatomy;  CSI;   ( I still can't believe they killed off Warrick)... and almost anything on the History channel.

Anything by Diana Gabaldon;  The Stand by Stephen King;   Little Women;  Tom Sawyer (it was the first 'real' book I read)...
Angela's Ashes;  My Year Of Meats....I also read a lot of popular fiction.  And  I love the Harry Potter books - Maybe I'm Not that old after all...
