About Me:
I'm a Christian man from America. My profile tells quite a bit about me, I think. One thing you can't tell from the pics is my height of 173 cm (5 feet 8 inches). If you want to know more then let's talk with each other! ;o)

Requests:
I talk to many different people. I am especially interested in speaking with people from Asia (and most especially, Japan, since I want to move there someday).
This is "Big Mama", from Korea!
I also want to say to non-native English speakers that you shouldn't be shy to try to talk with me, either. I'm studying to teach English, and I'm really good at understanding "broken" English. So give me a chance! :o)
Now, the unpleasant stuff, that I shouldn't have to say, but...
No "scammers"--no, thank you.
MANY have written to me already, and if I have evidence that you're a "scammer", I'll report you, TOO. (Yes, I have done it before, when I had legal evidence.) Do us both a favor, and leave me alone.
In fact, I'm so sick of "scammers" that I have decided to make some rules. (Getting kinda famous, it seems! Haha!) These will save me time, and save the "scammers" time, too--a "win-win". THESE WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED, DON'T WASTE THE TIME OF EITHER OF US, PLEASE.
I absolutely will NOT return contact with you for ANY of the following reasons:
1.) If you claim to be from an English-speaking country but your English is BAD (not just a typo or two, but grammar errors, LOTS of typos, can't spell your own name the same way twice, or anything else that's just not something a native-English speaker would do, IN MY OPINION).
2.) If you don't tell me about yourself ON THIS WEBSITE! If you don't care enough about being my friend to tell me about yourself then don't expect ANYthing from me. I think a regular, detailed profile is good, but if you want to protect your privacy more, then email to JUST me...through THIS WEBSITE...a good profile. I'm giving a lot of information about myself right here, in this profile. If you want more, you'll have to earn it.
3.) If you just send me a "friend request". I only accept "friend requests" from people that I know a little, and like. Again, insufficient information from you=no contact from me.
4.) If you send me an external email or instant messaging address in your first contact with me, OR if you request my external email or instant messaging address in your first contact with me (viewing my profile does NOT count as a contact).
I may add more rules later, if necessary.
I REALLY hope this doesn't make nice people afraid to contact me! I hate having to do this, but I'm tired of trying to "be fair" with "scammers". They waste time that I could be spending with people who are nice.
If I mistake anyone for a "scammer", I apologize now. If you really want to talk with me, please keep trying. "Scammers" don't usually keep writing to people who don't write back, so if you keep writing to me then I'm more likely to reply.
One last thing: If you know you're being "scammed", then please REPORT IT! There are "report" links on all communications here. Let's have a nice place here, so we can enjoy our community and ALL of us can feel more trusting. (^_^)v

Language Exchange Requests:
My Japanese is VERY basic... I don't have any formal training, just a little studying on my own and what I have picked up talking with my Japanese friends. I don't expect much help, but if I can learn a little as we talk, it will be nice! ;o)
Interests, Hobbies, etc.:
I like to exercise, chat on the Internet, talk with friends, drive around the countryside, and listen to music. I like to have fun... I'm always "interested" in a good laugh! Haha! Just look at my profile pic! :o) And I try to keep God and His Word in my thoughts at all times ("Your Word I have hidden in my heart so that I will not sin against You."--Psalm 119:11)
Favorite Music:
("Let my lifesong sing to you", Lord)
I love contemporary Christian music! Casting Crowns, Third Day, MercyMe, Building 429, Skillet, Downhere, Stellar Kart, Relient K, Hawk Nelson, Tenth Avenue North, Needtobreathe, Brandon Heath, Fireflight, Lincoln Brewster, Jeremy Camp, Mandisa, Matthew West, Newsboys, Steven Curtis Chapman, Jars of Clay, Plumb, Rush of Fools, Superchic[k], Red, Aaron Shust, Chris Tomlin, Bebo Norman, Brooke Fraser, Francesca Battistelli, Natalie Grant, Nicole Nordeman, Nicole C. Mullen, Darlene Zsckeck, Barlowgirl, Big Daddy Weave, Grits, TobyMac and DC Talk, Hillsong, SONICflood, Delirious?, David Crowder*Band, Todd Agnew, Jimmy Needham, Sanctus Real, Switchfoot, Kutless, Audio Adrenaline, Stacie Orrico, ... so much wonderful music! God has blessed us!

Favorite Movies:
I love "Fireproof" and "Facing the Giants", both of which are Christian films. ("The Love Dare", a book I mentioned in "Favorite Books", is a big part of the movie "Fireproof") I also enjoy some more secular movies (though I often get irritated with some scenes or things the characters say). For instance, The Fast and The Furious franchise... I love the cars! Or Star Trek--how wonderful it would be to be able to fly to the stars!
Favorite TV Shows:
My favorite show is about a lot of severely overweight people trying to get in shape! Haha! It's called "The Biggest Loser". I love it, cuz the people try SO hard, and unlike most reality shows, these people are truly fighting to live, because their unhealthy weights are slowly killing them. They are such an inspiration to watch!
"America's Got Talent" has been a real inspiration, too, especially the last couple of years. Neil Boyd won last year (2008), and he's from a town very close to here... Sikeston, Missouri (I lived there myself for about 19 months in 2002-2003). And this year(2009), the winner is from VERY close (less than 40 kilometers/20 miles). His accent is basically the same as mine. His name is Kevin Skinner, and here are some videos about him and his competition this year:

Favorite Books:
The Bible. I also like some books that remind us to be humble, even though they're not particularly religious books. Two books I especially like are "No Contest" by Alfie Cohn and "Outliers" by Malcolm Gladwell. "No Contest" shows just how unfair it is (and destructive it is) to measure people by how "successful" they are in competing with each other. "Outliers" shows just how much blind luck is really behind success. I also like "The Love Dare"... I hope to go through that book someday with my Special Someone, whoever she may be.
Favorite Quotes:
"Owe no one anything except to love each other. The person that loves someone else has obeyed the entire law [of God]."--Paul, from his letter to the Romans, chapter 13 verse 8 [from the Bible]. (Note that this is my translation.) What a thought: if I REALLY love just ONE other person, then what I will do to love that person will so totally change ME that I will be in complete obedience to God... But that's how powerful REAL love is.

I just want to make friends with all over world without any boundaries between us.
I hope you can undersand what I want to say to you.
