That's what I ask myself, and personally I wouldn't get any pleasure from a tedious task, but some do depending on, possibly, their level of fear - someone who is so fearful would find so much relief and security if, for a moment, their fear went away. They'd rely on that tedious task forever because they don't want to let go of that security they've found at last. This is an example that's pretty contextualized because I agree that most people in general would be unsatisfied enough with it (: Happiness is defined by the individual - sadism is another example
Maybe Sisyphus is happy because he found comfort in rolling the boulder up since that's all he ever does and is used to, and he has no fear because he assumes and is assured that this is all he's ever going to be doing. People are typically happy when they find comfort
There was a TV series of Sleepy Hollow. I like it but it only last a year.
