About Me:
Hi!
Im half finnish/half english and am mainly looking for finnish penpals to communicate with and improve my language skills, but anyone else is welcome to say hello too if they want.
I study archaeology at exeter university, which currently takes up a lot of my time, but I like getting away from myself a lot and spending time away from my usual routine (going on small holidays and such things).

Happy New Year! :D
Let it be full of dreams and hopes :)
Let it be full of dreams and hopes :)
What a hard week. Especially those 3 days. Talk about torturing yourself! What was the topic you had to write about?
Now I guess you can tell me about this calender job? Do you have christmas calenders in the UK? With chocolate? And do you also have a kind of calender on TV? This year it's a calender for children with blue santa's (instead of red). The blue santa's are afraid of the red santa's. They live in the mountain where they are making the air and water fresh and clean. But there is a problem, the people in a little village are filling the mountain with trash. I don't know if you got the idea of the program, but I really love watching it :)
Yesterday I left my house at 07.30 and was back at 23.00. I was working 7 hours after school. I'm so tired of working! I'm actually thinking of quitting my job, because I think it's too hard to work beside school. This is the last year, which means that it's a lot more school work to do. I would love to earn some money, but school is more important right now. What would you do?
Are you still eating nuts? :D

Hey, just came by to say Hi! How are you?
I really like your idea for just getting the right picture in the right moment. Because that's whats makes them special. I wish I was more like you, but I'm afraid I'm more like your friend. Sometimes I take too many identical photos of one thing. It's because I'm afriad I'll miss the moment, or get a really bad picture of a beautiful thing.
For how long is the course? I think I know the rock called flint. Flintstone, Jabadabadoo! They used it in the stone age. Did you make the weapons from the stone age? Sounds fun! Maybe I'm wrong, but can you make fire from a flint? I think I tried that when I was younger :P But it didn't work.
Piparkakut :D I've actually never heard that word before. The Norwegian word is Pepperkaker. I love making them. But decorating them is even better. With a lot of icing sugar and nonstop (small round pieces of chocolate.)
Yea. I would say it's an interesting place to work. We got all the christimas stuff last week. We got a lot of crazy lamps to have outside. Twinkling lights in all kind of colours, huge santa clauses and snowmen :P Hoho.
Did you apply for the job? What kind of calenders?

I'm sorry that it took me until now to reply, I was just too lazy... ;)
hmpf haha so they were just making fun of us xD now I understand... ;D
I envy you! especially because of the concerts. I mean, nearly every band comes to London! but austria is so unimportant, hardly no one plays over here... =(((
and america must've been great too! did you go there for the first time or have you been there before??
aww, I can remember, London was extremely expensive, but I think Exeter was too... I always lacked of money when I was there xD
what did you do on halloween??
ciao bille =))

Probably not the same park then. The t-rex was the only dinosaur. I might be wrong, because I just was 9 years old.
Yea, I agree. Photos from the 60's and 70's are beautiful. I think digital cameras are an ingenious invetion. You can take as much photos you want and delete the bad ones. But, I really miss having photos on paper. I know, you can order or print them yourself, but it's not the same. I miss the feeling before looking at the photos. When you're holding them in your hands and enjoy ever single photo as you don't remember they were taken. I loved that. I'm seriously thinking of buying an old cheap camera. Or you know the ones who develop the photos right after you've taken them? They are cool.
You're studying archaeology. How interesting!! That's why you have to identify bones. I guess it's not the most interesting part of the study?
Did you buy yourself a nutcraker? I love nuts. Especially in christmas. We have a christmas tradition in Norway. If you get two nuts within one (hazelnut, I think?), you can share it with someone and play "filipine". You have to choose a special day where you have to say "filipine". The first one who say this word will get a chocolate or something else.
This weekend has been quite boring. I was working on friday and saturday. It was a big sale in the shopping centre where im working. People were buying lamps like they never seen light before. I've also been writing a picture analysis. Today I had some friends over here. We made a cake. Well, that was pretty much my weekend :)

it's understandable that you can't force a little child to go to school on saturday! I would'n have wanted to do that either....but it's a pitty, isn't it?? do you regret that??
for this year we have a finnish exchange student in our class and she tried to explain me a bit finish but I completely failed, there are like 17 cases and it sounds so... funny ;) I'd never be able to pronounce that!
I'd love to go everywher in Britain, no matter which part. it's such a beutiful country. I also want to visit Scotland once. But London's great too. before I went to Exter, I spent two days at London and it was so exciting! Do you often go there? It's about five hours by car, isn't it??
yeah I remeber the railwaystation, a friend of mine lost her mobile there and we spent hours looking for it... that was horrible... X/
ops, I confused the cathedrals.... :) anyway, at least we're talking about the same one. but there were really strange people, kind of gangs. for example I once met four drunken girls (at 5 p.m.!) who looked all the same (actually a bit like paris hilton) and they told us about some other gangs and so on... actually they were a bit weird =)))
well, probably I woundn't have know her anyway, so that doesn't matter ;D

that's why i love the norweigan summers. i love the long endless summer nights. the way it never becomes really dark. the best about the dark nights, is when i'm laying in my bed, listening to the wind blowing in the trees outside. and the rain. at that moment, i wouldn't dream of being another place.
i've also seen a t-rex statue in france. in a stupid park with giant animals. maybe you were in the same park as me? :D i love watching pictures. especially those that are old, like from when my parents were young. and pictures in black and white. have you noticed that even bad pictures look beautiful in black and white?
i've never heard of The Microphones. I'll check them out :) i just hope they're not that unknown. because then it will be hard to find their music.
