About Me:
I'm 5'8" with red hair and blue eyes. I live in Tamworth, a country town in NSW, Australia.
I love to laugh and I especially love making other people laugh. I always have a smile on my face and something to sing about. My life is utterly fantastic!! I like to think that I have an infectiously happy disposition.
I'm a voracious reader and I spend as much time as possible curled up in (or sprawled out on) my bed with a book.
I work in IT, I go to the gym every day and my favourite colour is purple!
I wish my life was a musical; preferrably a less serious, more absurd one, like Once More With Feeling or Dr Horrible's Sing Along Blog.

Requests:
Since a lot of my friends moved away recently, I figured that getting to know some new and interesting people from all over the world would be fun!
I'm looking for people around my age (18-26) who have a good grasp of English.
I think Female penpals would be best, since I seem to have more in common with girls than guys, but if you're a guy and think our interests match up, I'd certainly love to hear from you too!
E-mail or snail mail are fine, though snail mail is much more fun.
I love writing (and receiving!) long letters and I also love being crafty, so if you're that way inclined and would like to send and receive decorated letters, that's a bonus!

Interests, Hobbies, etc.:
* Reading -- I mainly read fiction (fantasy), though lately I've been overcome by the urge to read as many "classics" as possible.
* Sewing -- soft furnishings, like cushions and bags, but also garments. The item that I'm most proud of is a really classy black ruffle skirt that I made with a friend.
* Painting and Craft -- I love making and painting all sorts of things. I've been toying with getting the courage to start actually painting on Canvas the past few weeks... I'm in the middle of a big project to make sculpted 3D tiles for the boardgame Settlers of Catan using modeling clay and lots of other bits and pieces at the moment.
* Writing -- I love writing short stories, though I rarely actually end up finishing them.
* Going to the Gym -- I go every day after work and really enjoy it. I also prefer to eat good, healthy food, but I have a giant sweet tooth, so I also eat lots of chocolate, lollies and much-too-big bowls of Cookies & Cream icecream. Thankfully my metabolism is insane, so I'm skinny.
* Snowboarding -- I went to the snow (Falls Creek in Victoria) in winter last year for 2 weeks and was instantly hooked. Hopefully either this year or next year I can head to Canada for the season for a working holiday and get a few solid months of snowboarding in.
* Shopping -- I love shopping. Mainly for books and clothes. Shopping for guys clothes is nowhere near as fun as shopping for girls clothes though, so I love to tag along with friends when they go shopping. Ladies clothing is so much more interesting and varied.

Favorite Quotes:
* Neil Gaiman: "You get ideas from daydreaming. You get ideas from being bored. You get ideas all the time. The only difference between writers and other people is we notice when we're doing it."
* Kim Newman: "Anansi Boys is one of Neil Gaiman's books for grown-ups, which means that it's a lot less ruthless than the material he produces for children."

* Walt Disney: "There is more treasure in books than in all the pirate's loot on Treasure Island."
