About Me:
If I'm logged into this site on my mobile phone, for reasons known only to Sony Ericsson and the 3 network, it'll lie to you and tell you I'm not in the UK, catch me on my laptop however, and you'll see that I am where I say I am, so please, please ignore any warnings you may get. Talk to me and you'll soon see I'm a genuine, down to earth Brit bird :) Right then........I'm a 37 yr old female from the UK. I have a teenage daughter, and I work as a cook.
I've been to Belgium, Italy and the U.S and I'd love to travel more. I'd especially like to visit China, Alaska, Northern Europe and Mexico one day.
I'm a dreamer who longs to build a better, simpler life away from the UK and the 9 to 5 rat race. Real life and responsibility prevent me from doing so just yet but eventually I'll do some kind of voluntary work involving animals and conservation, I haven't decided what or where yet, I just know that it's my dream and it WILL happen one day! :D
I see the world as a big, exciting, adventure playground and I want to swing from every rope, slide down every slide, and build a castle in every sandpit! :D
I'm an animal and nature lover and am far happier meditating, surrounded by trees than I am rushing round the city surrounded by buildings and shallow, celebrity obsessed people who are too consumed with obtaining and spending money to stop and contemplate what this earth and life are truly all about :)

Requests:
I'd like to make new friends, male or female, any age and from all four corners of the globe (I've never understood that expression, and if someone ever does find four corners on the globe I'd like to meet you, shake your hand, buy you a pint and ask how the f**k you managed it! :D) . As a cook I'm always looking for new things to try out so I'd love to learn about all your country's different dishes. so that I can steal your ideas, claim them as my own and then take all the credit...........just kiddin :D
Martial Arts (particularly Kung Fu) enthusiasts are very welcome. (my non martial arts friends can only tolerate me banging on about wing chun and kung fu movies for so long lol), although it's not a must, I'll chat to anyone about anything! :)
I'm happy to add you as a friend after we've exchanged mails a few times but any friend requests from people I've not spoken to will be politely declined. Say hi and we'll go from there :) Keep it clean and we'll get on great! :D

Interests, Hobbies, etc.:
I've been training in Wing Chun Kung Fu for a few months, although my love for the art goes back to my teenage years when I first saw Yuen Biao. I collect his movies (along with others) and his film Prodigal Son is the thing that finally convinced me that Wing Chun was for me. My only regret is not taking it up years ago!
I'm also into motorbikes, tattoos, gigs, festivals, spirituality, cooking, reading and gaming (pc, ps3 and wii).

Favorite Music:
Mainly rock/metal (Slayer, Testament, System of a Down, The Damned, Korn, Slipknot to name a few) but i will listen to anything with good lyrics that mean something, artists like John Lennon, The Doors, Oasis, Nick Cave spring to mind. There's many more but if I list them all here, what will be left to discover! ;)
This is what is currently getting played to death on my MP3 player..................How catchy is this song!!!!! lol

Favorite Movies:
Mostly kung fu films and they have to be in the original Chinese with subtitles....I can't stand the awful American dubbing!
I've collected the films of Yuen Biao for years, and more recently have started to pick up quite a few of Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Andy Lau, Stephen Chow and Takeshi Kaneshiro. I really love the romance and drama of Wuxia, If real life was more like that, full of sexy, long haired, sword wielding warriors on horseback....I'd be in heaven lol!
I don't watch anything to come out of Hollywood at all, and apart from Cheech and Chong, Spaghetti westerns and the odd brit film (In Bruges, Snatch, Lock Stock, Withnail & I etc) my entire dvd collection tends to have 'Hong Kong Legends' written on the spine lol
I love Apocalypto too and this 'ere brilliantly made video I found on Youtube kinda says it all really ;)

Wing Chun the series (finally managed to track it down on Amazon!!!! :D), Ideal, Black Books, Not Going Out, Soaps, Spongebob, Ninja Warrior (I'm in love with Makoto Nagano...The man is a legend). I don't watch much TV, If I have spare time I'll either bugger off to ancient China with Andy Lau for a couple of hours via blu ray or you'll find me on the ps3 or punching the poo out of my wall bag :)
I love Yuen Biao in this series, and it's great to see these 3 legends havin fun together!! :D
GO GO NAGANO!!!
