Hello to the mental environment-​

I'm no good at adequately describing myself but here goes~ :)
I live in atlantic Canada with my super-awesom​e boyfriend of 2 years (who I adore) and my mean, fat cat (who I also adore). I'm an economics major in school, however I'm currently taking a year off from my studies.
I guess what is more helpful in defining myself is the fact that I hate the commercializ​ation of society, the money worship, and the celebrity worship happening in North America right now. I am rabidly pro-civil liberties, and I tend to follow human rights and environmenta​l stories in the news very closely.
I also love to read and travel, mainly in the USA but I did go to 6 countries in western Europe in 2002 and had the time of my life!
I'm also a big fan of oldies music, dorky as that may be, I love love love music from the 50's, 60's and 70's~ :)

I would like to find other intelligent,​ unique people from anywhere really. I am especially interested in eastern europe and asia, but people from anywhere are welcome. I'd prefer people aged 21-25 though, and I'd prefer writing snail-mail. There's nothing better than getting actual mail that isn't bills! If we share similar interests, hey, bonus but not a necessity - I'm open-minded~​

I & II, Dr. Strangelove,​ the Matrix, the Devil's Rejects, Goodfellas, Finding Nemo, Reservoir Dogs, Forrest Gump, Rocky Horror, Blazing Saddles, Dogma, The Shining, Monty Python's Holy Grail, SLC Punk, American History X, A Clockwork Orange, the Fifth Element, Bringing Out the Dead, Pirates of the Carribbean, etc.

I worship Jon Stewart & Stephen Colbert, as well as South Park, Futurama, Robot Chicken, Sex & the City, Kenny vs. Spenny, American Dad, etc. I also recently got addicted to Project Runway (american, british & canadian versions), as embarrassed as I am to admit that~ ;)

I love anything by Hunter S. Thompson, really love Jane Austen, although I'd have to say the 2 books that shaped my young mind the most were George Orwell's '1984' and Upton Sinclair's 'The Jungle'.
