I am an average American student studying Meteorology and Global Science at university which is located along the United States border with Canada in Vermont. I love to talk about world affairs and take in other views, especially from people in other countries. In the past year I have traveled to China and to Russia and hope to return soon. I love talking about current problems that plague our planet and enjoy debating with others how to solve them. I like to listen to how different cultures go about their lives and I would love to have a friend in another country to speak with any and all topics.

~As for my own family history: My fathers side comes from Canada while my mothers side is from Poland/Sovie​t Union. Many of my ancestors come from Poland but were enslaved by the Tsar of Russia after participatin​g in a coup. They were transported to Siberia but were later freed by the revolutionar​y​y forces. Many of my family members were born there but later traveled to the United States to start a lace trade company.

Any person who is willing to write to me about current world affairs, questions about my country, questions on English, etc is welcome to do so. I am looking for someone my age, but as long as you are going to be a nutbag I will not really care. I would like someone who I can identify more closely with and discuss pretty much any topic under the sun. Would be cool to have a penpal to converse with on a near-daily basis. Must be a good person and willing to take this seriously.
