I'm a 26 year old lesbian and unrepentant introvert, currently spending my days working in the glamourous world of psychologica​l research.
I love writing, and especially writing letters, and so here I am! (Snail mail ONLY please).

I often feel kind of out of step with the world, but I'm ok with that most of the time. I'd like to hear from people who won't mind me being a ridiculous over-thinker​ - I'd love to read your ramblings too, so long as you're able to be an independent thinker.

I'm looking for SNAIL MAIL penpals who don't mind me being a bit odd sometimes. I like to think that I'm pretty openminded and tolerant, and I hope you are too.
I'd like to write to people roughly in my age group, so about 20-30 years old. Also, it would be really cool to hear from other lesbian/bi/n​on-hetero women or people who feel that they don't fit into the binary gender system... although of course this is not a necessity. I actually like having male penpals as well, as long as you pay attention to the obvious and realise that I am not going to make a good wife for you >_<!

My letters tend to be medium-long (to me this means 4-50 A4 pages.. of course I don't often get to 50, it just depends who I'm writing to) This isn't me telling you how long your letters have to be, I just want you to know what I tend to be like.
I don't always reply instantly, but I will try my best to get back to you within a reasonable length of time. I don't swap fbs, decos, slams and the like.

art, music, science, writing, teaching myself how to solder/messi​ng around with electronics,​ mental illness, making/break​ing/fixing things, collecting religious paraphenalia​ (although I am an agnostic atheist), b-grade sci-fi/horro​r/exploitati​on films from the 1930s-1970s,​ sushi train restaurants,​ rainy days, tea, general silliness...​ etc etc

I hardly watch tv at the moment, but I do like animated shows and Monty Python's Flying Circus. I am also in the midst of a slightly frightening obsession with the Mighty Boosh.

rather than books, I'll list some favourite authors: Christopher Isherwood, George Orwell, Banana Yoshimoto, Maxine Hong Kingston, Oscar Wilde.
I also like to read non-fiction books about stuff like art, religion, feminism, gender, qu33r issues and film, among other things.
