Yes now I think of the good foods in the USA yes there are some really tasty things, just yes you have to know what and where to find them. USA is a big country physically so with out a plan, guide it will be hard in 1 trip. If you do not find someone to follow you over then try to find some people to visit or something in the various areas of the country you will be in. Easier said then done I know!

My favorite food is German and that I can cook the best really. Swedish food is not super hmm expansive, but with the raiding you did over the years you brought other things here! He hee.

I will PM directly as that last question is a bit personal

Yes true. The creole/cajun cooking of Lousiania is very interesting, but you really have to look hard now to find it. And when you go to California-where I grew up-really try what we call California cuisine. It is a mix of west coast Mexican which is not really the type of Mexican food exported out and also a bit of Asian fusion well Japanese to be exact. Like I will not eat a fish taco with red salsa on it! He hee. And smoked meats with mesquite wood is something you should look for that is poplar in the south west.

Oh cool, I live right outside Bollnas! I could go on and on about USA cooking as I lived all over the USA and was born and raised there. I know German food very well also. But what I am trying to learn is Swedish cooking and Sweden as this is my new home! He hee.

You will find most things in the USA are a watered down version of things from somewhere else. The uniqueness of USA is the fact it is so intolerant to other ideas, culture and that you have to conform and the original source is lost. As you are not from USA you might it interesting. But do prepare to be disappointed and bored.
