yes there are many parties. But the most popular parties are the Democrats and the Republicans.​ Everyone mainly focuses on the 2 major parties. The last time someone was elected without being from a republican or democrat party? was in the 1700's, in the u.s.

The vice president is picked by the presidential​ candidate. The one picked from each party. Obama from democrats picked Joe biden as a vice presidential​ candidate to run with him, for the election.

Obama gets 7,000 votes, while Mccain gets 6,000 votes.
So Obama wins the state of Florida.

In California
Obama gets 10,000 votes, while Mccain gets 8,000 votes.
Obama wins California.

In Texas Obama gets 4,000 votes, while Mccain gets 10,000 votes.
Mccain wins Texas.

Popular vote Does Not Elect Our President. This is where the Electoral College takes in effect.

The electoral college, is a system created, to distribute electoral votes points among states. Depending on their population.

For example, California is worth 55 electoral votes... Florida is worth 27 electoral votes.... Texas is worth 33 electoral votes.

Since Barack Obama got the most popular vote in Florida, he gets 27 electoral votes. and since he won in California, he also gets 55 electoral votes. giving him...82 electoral votes all together. compared to Mccain's 33 electoral votes.

The first person to get 270 Electoral votes, wins, and becomes our next President.

In the end. Obama got 349 electoral votes and Mccain got 163 electoral votes. Since Obama has more electoral votes. He becomes our next president.

The way The U.S voting system works. Is basically like this....

The United States has a President, Vice President, Cabinet, Congress, State governors, Police, and then the 'people'.

The Congress is made up of 'House of Representati​ves' and 'Senate'.
The congress make all the decisions, and pass the laws of our country. The President plays a role in this, and helps pass or decline laws.

Each state has a representati​ve/ senator. Those are the candidates for Presidency, including the President himself, and the Vice president.

There are many political parties in the U.S. Republicans,​ Democrats, Green party, Independents​..... e.t.c
But The Republicans and the Democrats are the most famous of the parties.
Each party pick their top choice to represent their party.
This election. The Republican top choices were Mitt Romney and John Mccain. The Democrats top choices were Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.
The top choices do fundraisers,​ and get endorsements​, The votee to get the most money and approval from each 50 states will be the top choice. Which in the end Barack Obama vs. John Mccain.

All of the people who are eligible to vote, 18 years old +...can vote, cast their vote.
In the end each state counts the number of votes. Whoever has the most votes, wins that state. For example..In Florida... Obama ge

There was a movie that i saw the other day, 'Saw V'. Have you heard of this movie? Its a horror movie, with a twisted plot, and meaning. Very confusing at times, but everything makes sense in the end. 'Saw V' is not a good movie to see, if you have a weak stomache. =/

Yes i knew Taekwondo originated from Korea. =). It's what got me interested in learning more about Korea. =)
I have taken Taekwondo for 9 years. Right now i'm a kukkiwon 1rst degree blackbelt. , i help teach the younger class.
I attend an Olympic Taekwondo school. I use to attend traditional Taekwondo school. But the teacher was teaching me more how to use Taekwondo as an offensive rather than defensive.

Your a red/black belt?  that is really awesome =).

I like the thriller/ horror. The movie where you have no clue whats going to happen next. Totally random, scary, jump out of your seat.

i went ahead and watched [rec]... the original before 'quarantine'​. I actually thought [rec] was a lot better, despite the whole thing being in spanish. But i understood a few words, lol. I have watched the blair witch movie, and i didn't like it as much. I really didn't have any feeling or emotion of horror coming from the movie to make me jump out of my seat.

and i saw that you lost 2 kg, congratulati​ons. =)... i gained 35 lbs. which is 16 kg due to lifting weights a lot. =(...
I plan on losing some of the weight i just gained by going back to my Taekwondo classes.
