About Me:
I consider myself an explorer, educated, honest and sincere. I like to travel, learn languages, watch movies, and much more. I was in a motorcycle accident and use a wheelchair now, but that hasn't stopped me from traveling a lot of the world.
Soy un explorador, educado, honesto y sincero. Gozo viajar, aprender idiomas, ver peliculas, nadar, y mucho mas.
I have been to:
Europe (Ireland, UK, France, Netherlands, Germany, Greece, Portugal, Turkey)
Asia (Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Taiwan, S. Korea, Japan, China, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Singapore, Malaysia, Fiji)
Middle East (Jordan, Iran, U.A.E.)
Africa (only north, Morroco & Egypt)
Australia (mostly East Coast) and New Zealand
South America (Peru, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil)
Most of the United States and Canada
Some of Mexico
I want to see so much more!!!!!! =)

Hey Chance
How are you doing today? I hope everything is going well.
Ah its okay, I still have a nice long list of Asian movies to either buy or try. haha There are a lot of great ones out there. Yeah I love the ability of on-line ordering for some things.
Wow, I am really amazed how many places you have been. It must be so nice to have seen so much of the world! I've seen so little with my own eyes, just from TV and writing letters with penpals for the last almost 16 years now.
I guess I am adjusted to Dutch life. Not much shocks me anymore here. hahaha Hmmm unusual customs here... Not sure about unusual customs but there are a lot of small differences. Like, the Dutch usually eat bread for breakfast and lunch. They think it is strange to eat warm. Maybe in the cold winter to have a little bit of soup in the afternoon but otherwise they don't eat much warm except at dinner.
No wide open spaces, especially in the area I live in. Its like living in one giant city. The area here is known as "randstad" basically the area between Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht and Den Haag. I really cannot tell usually where one town ends and another begins. Maybe just a small farm field separates them.
Just all sorts of small things like that I notice all the time.

Yeah, it does seem Asian culture is becoming more and more popular around the world. Though I have had the interest since I was a child watching programs on TV about places, especially in China. I remember seeing many specials over the years about The Great Wall, The Terra Cotta Army, now recently I am seeing several programs on The Forbidden City.
No I haven't seen "The Lover" or "Shanghai Kiss" yet. I usually have to buy my movies. If I get them here then I get Dutch subtitles and to be honest, their subtitling skills are not very good. -_- Usually I just order movies from Amazon UK. Now I have a couple of new ones to check out! Thanks!
It seems you have traveled a lot! That is really great. Is there somewhere you have enjoyed more than another?
Hope you will have a good evening at work. Take care and do feel free to chat any time. ^_^

Hey there, thanks for the post. ^_^ Yeah, I am American but my husband is Dutch. I am originally from Eastern Oregon. That is where I was born and grew up but I did live for a little while in Idaho and Kansas too.
Why am I interested in learning Asian languages? Well, some people might say that French or Italian are the languages of love but for me, I love the sound of Asian languages, they are languages of love for me. hahaha Sounds strange? But I love to hear them.
How is everything going for you? Afternoon over there now? It is after midnight already here. hehe
