About Me:
I think my photo album "All You Need to Know About Me, Ever" sums this up pretty well, but I'll give it a shot. I'm just recently twenty-one years old (although when I grow my beard out I look about twenty-six), and I'm attending school in Davis, CA. Until recently I was a Mathematics major (and before that philosophy, but most philosophy majors are douchebags), but then I decided I wanted a social life again so I switched to Middle Eastern Studies.
I'm an ex-professional cook and current amateur cook; I make my living as a tutor in math and English composition (which pays much less than cooking but also causes me much less stress). When I grow up I want to be a ghost.
I made this profile because I like making friends, and because some day I'd like to have traveled the entire world—and while I'm working on that I'd like to know some people who can show me around. So let's trade letters! I prefer real letters because it gives me less of the feeling of talking to a machine, but if you're a stickler I can do e-mail.

¡Hola! Me llamo Guillermo.

Interests, Hobbies, etc.:
I enjoy writing, dancing, making music, and cooking food, so I usually spend my time doing one (or a combination) of those things.
I have two bands: one is kind of electro-dance-punk, and the other is folk. I write plays that I perform on the street with my friends (and occasionally in theatres with my schoolmates) and short stories that I read to people. I cook—well, I cook breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. Sometimes snacks or brunch also.
I like drinking coffee, and I write down my interesting thoughts on any piece of paper I can find.
I really like drinking coffee.
I really, really like drinking coffee.

Favorite Quotes:
"There is no difference at all between samsara and nirvana; there is no difference at all between samsara and nirvana."
"Every time a gay or lesbian finds love at the parade... there's money to be made! Each time two grooms they paint that wedding hall and lavender's the shade, there's money to be made! Think of all the carriages and four white horses—there's millions lost from all your disapproving. Think of all the lawyers for the gay divorces—think of the tattoo removing!"—Neil Patrick Harris in "Prop 8—The Musical"
"Science--in other words, knowledge--is not the enemy of religion; for, if so, then religion would mean ignorance. But it is often the antagonist of school-divinity."—Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.
"Put not your trust in money, but put your money in trust."—Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.
"The bigot is like the pupil of the eye: the more light you put upon it, the more it will contract."—Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.
Okay, yeah, I guess I use quotes from Holmes a bit too often.
"We have now sunk to a depth at which the restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men."—George Orwell
"Many people genuinely do not want to be saints, and it is probable that some who achieve or aspire to sainthood have never felt much temptation to be human beings."—George Orwell
"There is something more horrible than hoodlums, churls and vipers, and that is knaves with moral justification for their cause."—P.J. O'Rourke (not a big fan of his and I disagree with him on most every political philosophy, but he does have some pretty good quotes)
"Learn, my son, with how little wisdom the world is governed."—Count Axel von Oxenstierna
"The quantity of books in a library is often a cloud of witnesses of the ignorance of the owner."—Count Axel von Oxenstierna
"A careless song, with a little nonsense in it now and then, does not mis-become a monarch."—Horatio Walpole, Fourth Earl of Orford
"Life is a comedy to him who thinks and a tragedy to him who feels."—Horatio Walpole, Fourth Earl of Orford

Mmm... I think Russian people don't have problems with making patys. By law, we can't drink alcohol on the street, but actually people drink what they want an where they want...lol
We don't have many pubs and bars like in Europe, unfortunately because I do like it. By the way, police arests only really crazy mans.
Foreigners think Moscow is a criminal city - I guess it's partly. We have criminal districts. But in the ceneter of the city situationis is normal. About events in Moscow... well here are a lot of different things happend every day. I prefer go to fectivals, public lectures, sometimes on conserts, but the best way spending free time it's chating with friends...
Do you often go in San Francisco?

I completely agree with you! I had 4 cups of coffee today, boy was it great!
Haha... don't worry =) I didn't expect to resent you.
Moscow...well... I guess my Canon makes it acceptable for view. Really, it isn't so amazing city for living... for normal living. In US you have several industrial centers, here it's one - Moscow. There're living so reach and so poor people and they hate each other every day. I think, it looks like Paris.
But big city take to you dozen opportunities... and... I enjoy it ;)
And how about "living in America", in you own city Davis?

i REALLY love coffee too! :D
I think you're the first person whose profile I've read all the way through, and I have to agree that you do have good taste in music. But you also have great taste in books, and after looking at your pictures I feel like I know all I need to know about you, ever =)
Also, you sound much more interesting than I am, but i'd love to write letters if you're up for it!
