About Me:

Hello, my name is Ella.  I am a student, here in a small college town in Illinois (U.S.)  I am going to college for studio art.  I paint, draw, sew, write etc.   I also study French and Spanish.  I love langauages and meeting new people, but sadly none of my friends speak anything but English.
I read a lot, I love art and I'm very talkative.  I listen to a lot of different music, and love watching movies.  Also, I sew a lot.  I sew for people all the time too, which is a lot of fun.  It's also helped me meet a lot of really cool people.
I also love travelling, but never have the time or money to go very far.  I've never been out of the U.S. (sadly), but there are so many places around the world I'd love to see.  I've travelled a lot in the Southern U.S. and in the Midwest though.

I'm new to this site, so feel free to say 'hi' if you want to talk about art, languages, books, movies, travel, life, or whatever.

Requests:

I would love help with my French and Spanish.  I don't speak either very well, but I love both languages.  I read as much as I can in both languages, but since I don't have anyone to speak them with, I'm not that good at making sentenses, or saying/writing things the right way.

Language Exchange Requests:

I speak English pretty well.  I read a lot, and always have.  So, if you want help with English, just ask.  I'm learning French.  I can read it pretty well, but I'm not very good at speaking it or writing it.  I took Spanish in high school.  I read in Spanish a lot, but I don't speak it very well at all, and can't write it all that well, either.  So, if anyone can help me with Spanish or French, I would be very happy!

Interests, Hobbies, etc.:

writing, drawing, painting, wandering, sewing, watching movies, driving, reading, talking with friends...

Favorite Music:

rock, folk, indie
I have a lot of favorites, but some are:  The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Led Zeppelin, the Clash, Devendra Banhart, the Shins, the Decemberists, Arlo Guthrie, Band of Horsees, David Bowie, Bright Eyes, Coldplay, CCR, Derek and the Dominoes, Edith Piaf, Feist, Frank Sinatra, Franz Ferdinand, Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Leadbelly, Nirvana, Odetta, Miles Davis, Rolling Stones, Simon and Garfunkel, the Doors, Velvet Underground....

Favorite Movies:

Across the Universe, Amelie, the old James Bonds, the Pirates of the Carribean Movies, I'm not There, Breakfast at Tiffanies, Sabrina

Favorite TV Shows:

Family Guy, South Park, What not to Wear, and a bunch older shows.

Favorite Books:

I love to read and I love all kinds of books.  My favorite novelist is Jack Kerouac, my favorite author-singer is Leonard Cohen and my favorite Poet is Lorca.
I got really into Lord of the Rings over the summer, but usually I just pick up a book, read part of it, and then get tired of it.  So, I tend to like short stories and poetry the best.

Ahh shows on Hulu don't show up in France. They don't have the right copyrights or something like that. As far as the tv shows are concerned, living in France is lame xD !

yes,I love old buildings too, they're charming.that's why I like european cities with their ancient arcchitecture and old catholic churches and pavements and bridges and,oh,whatnot. but if you want to enjoy old buildings,I advise you to go to St.Petersburg, because architectural masterpieces are preserved there, while in Moscow they're hidden behind the skyscrapers.

I live in the south-eastern part of the european part of Russia, not very far from Moscow though. well, speaking about nature and landsacpe the area I live in is very picturesque, and my city in particular is very bright and green in spring and summer, because of the trees. while in Moscow there're only skyscrapers, and no trees.
