Okay, I've been ashamed of my profile for far too long, now. I really should have more about me in here.

I am originally from Canada and, about four years ago, I quit my job as an English teacher in Canada to become an English teacher in Korea. I stayed for a couple of years, then decided that I wanted to go back to graduate school (linguistics​) in Canada. So I returned to Canada for two years, then was offered a job as an editor in Ulsan, so here I am.

I have started to take Korean lessons, but I am a very, very, very new beginner. I hope that, in a few months, I will be able to put a few words together and speak at least a little bit.

I am really rather bored most of the time in Korea. When I was here before I had a lot of friends and really had a good time. But most of my friends have started having babies, or they have been transferred to Seoul or other cities, so I no longer know people in Ulsan. I still like Korea, but am starting to think that I may have take a job in the wrong city this time.

Hopefully I can meet someone on here to hang out with, help me with my Korean, and I can help you with your English, if you'd like.

Someone friendly, open-minded,​ and with a good sense of humour. Also, someone who has a unique perspective on things and doesn't take offence easily.

Oh, and if anyone knows what happened to eugenia_rus from this site, please let me know. I lost her email address and want to get in touch with her, if possible.

Basketball, computer games, music, books, the gym, sending emails, trying to work on my thesis...

I'd probably say the Tragically Hip, the Trews, U2, and Pearl Jam, but I like almost a little bit of everything. I do have a rather strong dislike for pop music, though.

Fight Club, Rounders, Moulin Rouge, Memento, MST3K, Marx Brothers...a​nything that makes you think, isn't predictable,​ or can make you genuinely laugh.

I have many, many favourite books. Currently I am hooked on Murikame, but my all-time favourite writers would include Doug Coupland, Fyodor Dostoyevsky,​ and J.D. Salinger.
