It's hard to know what to say about myself!  As I'm sure everyone thinks, it's hard to sum myself up in a few lines.  It feels like I'm writing a job application or something!  Well, here goes anyway!...
I'm 31, English and happily married with no children yet.  I'm a speech and language therapist working with children, and love my job.  I love words! - reading, writing, learning new ones, doing puzzles and playing word games!....
I consider myself to be a friendly, chatty, loyal and reliable person.  My friends and family are really important to me.

I'm looking for genuine snail mail penpals, female only please, as I'm happily married and only looking for penpals.  I want penpals who like to write long and fairly regular letters - obviously I understand that people have busy lives and can't always respond immediately,​ (neither can I) but I want to exchange letters often enough to feel that we're having a real conversation​. 
I do expect long, chatty letters (either typed or handwritten is fine with me) where we ask and answer each others' questions and talk about all sorts of things.
I have quite a few penpals now already, so I really just want penpals who have lots in common with me.  Especially it would be great if you like to read and discuss what you have read.  I'm happy to hear from people from anywhere really, but I'd especially like pals in Scandinavia (especially Iceland), Italy, USA, Australia, Eastern Europe, France Belgium, Asia
I'd also really like to hear from anyone else who works with children with special needs.
By the way, for those who insist on photos before they will reply - I don't publish my photo on public websites - sorry.  I am more than happy to send you a photo if we decide to become penpals though.

I know some French and German but they're a bit rusty so not enough to write whole letters in.  I'd like to get better though!
