The Manics are a band that really pushed my love for amazing brit music. 'The Holy Bible' was a phanminal album that I got the '10th anniversary edition' along with the regular album which has 2 cds and a dvd full of liver performances. Truly worth it! Ebay is great, but before that I had been working at a record store so I could order them in for cheap (those were the days...) lol.

Hi!! Reading your profile your uni course caught my eye, I should imagine forensic sciense is a pretty interesting topic. I work as a prison officer so I find most things relating to crime and the criminal mind quite interesting. Anyway that's all really, just wanted to stop by and say hello.

Criminology has always interested me along with psychology and sociology. I have read some excellent books by Jon Douglas, one of the initial members of the FBIs behavioral unit. He illustrates their profiling techniques for serial killers. The amount of information available due to forensics is astounding, as you know I imagine. It's not infallible, but once you know your stuff its amazing how much you can learn from a maggot.
Anthro gets me in trouble sometimes, I spend a great deal of time researching and studying on my own time so when I show up to my classes I tend to sit back and take it all in. Then set the curve for the exams.
Many of my fellow students can't imagine why I would possibly want to spend so much time studying on the side. But it really does make a difference. Anthropology interests me so much particularily because it taps into so many other fields. I can talk to chemists, and biologists, and mathematicians, and even artists and come back to my subject with a fresh appreciation for its diversity. Plus resources if I ever need an opinion, haha.

I love Anthro, I was going Chemistry at first and was drawn into Nutritional Anthro. Still keeping my chem stuff, but only until I transfer to Portland State University about 100 miles away. I lucked out its the only place in Oregon I can find that has all the classes I want to take including Nutrition, South East Asian studies, and a few Forensics classes I could sneak in. Only other University I have seen that comes close is in Sacramento, California.
I may branch out into Diatetics, but so far what I have learned on my own is holding far more true than the information used to train health professionals in the U.S.

Excellent! Forensics and Criminology, ah if only my pure science skills were stronger. Just have to stick to my Anthropology I suppose, hopefully sneak in some forensic stuff.

Welcome to InterPals! It's a great site, plenty of friendly people around. ;)
